Is the norbsmile the same as a high intensity happy light like verilux?

No; high intensity “happy lights” are therapeutic lighting products of relatively high intensity, with very specific usage instructions. The NorbSMILE is a sunlike-spectrum light—but of much lower intensity, designed for regular day to day use—in home or business, from morning until early evening. The spectrum is natural, unlike most lighting products which emit light spectra very different than the sun (and can cause people to feel lethargic, distracted or agitated).

is this full spectrum?

This is nothing like the full spectrum bulbs I get from Chromalux. All full-spectrum bulbs I've purchased over the decades have, and have had, a slightly pink hue. This bulb does not.

How many come in a pack?

The NorbSMILE A19 bulbs are available as single (1 each) bulbs or in packs of 4.

Can this bulb be used in a fully enclosed fixture?

The bulbs burn warm to finger-touch-hot. We installed 2 in the same ceiling fan which is new-ish. We were afraid to put the shade back on as the insulation behind the bulbs might have gone too warm or scorched. Having written this, we love the bulbs and it is worth the unattractiveness of the shadeless fixture. We have a 100 year old house which is very dark and those bulbs make the room (about 10 x 12) seem like a summer day. We love them, but do fear enclosing them.
