These grips beat them all!
If you know anything about lifting, youโll know these are the grips you want at the gym. These are my 6th pair!

Quality for the budget conscious lifter.
Great value for the price. Excellent materials and construction and considering the cost for similar straps(versa grips), well worth it.

Top tier product ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐๐๐๐
Wow I never knew I needed these so much, I just love things that have more than one purpose. I just got back into the gym and have been using an old pair of gloves for my workouts, I have some issues with my right hand when it comes to grip strength, with that said I jumped to the internet in search of something that I could use to help me, these cobra grips stood out of the pack, I simply just keep these on weather itโs a bench press or working my back I love that itโs a flexible addition to my workouts, I feel more confident when using this product than I was before not knowing when my hand strength would not allow me to complete a set due to fatigue. Itโs a wonderful product for deadlifts as well. The sizing might me off, my wrist are just under 7 inches however I got a small instead of the medium that was recommended and it fits perfectly.

Bridges the Gap Between Raw and Wraps
You'll hear people criticize using anything to aid in grip for strength training. And there's validity to making sure you have great grip strength, but there's also validity in not having your grip be the failure point when you are trying to train things like your back. I am assuming that Cobra Grips are either a continuation or direct competitor of Versa Grips, which I owned a pair of for over a decade before I finally wore them out. The only discernable difference between the two products is the slightly rounded top edge of the Cobra Grips. It's worth noting that Cobra Grips come in at a little less than half the current listed price of Versa Grips. Enough backstory, how do they stack up to the grips that I used for almost 10 years? Honestly, they're identical in just about every way imaginable. They secure to your wrist using the same strap style which provides a minimal amount of wrist support and the mechanism of action for giving you better grip is also identical. You put them on with the flaps in front of your palms and put the flap on the inside of the bar and wrap them under. It gives you a better hold on the bar and allows for more reps without your grip being your failure point for movements like lat pulldowns, pull ups, rows, etc. One of the things I've always like about Versa Grips and now Cobra Grips is that it bridges a gap. A gap between a full blown wrist strap that you wrap around the bar and lifting raw. You can just about let the bar hang entirely by lifting straps, but you need to put more grip strength to keep an equal weight in your hands with Cobra Grips. I find a lot of value in bridging that gap and I think that most other lifters would as well. In terms of the quality versus Versa Grips, I can't speak to that after a month of use when I used my old grips for almost a decade. But I can tell you that they are well made and I anticipate them lasting for a very long time. In addition to the added grip, they give you a little extra padding in your palms. They're simple to use and after you get used to the feeling, they do exactly what they are intended to do. In terms of value, well you can save yourself quite a bit of money over Versa Grips with these. And $40 to try something and see if you like it is certainly more palatable than $85. Great product in my opinion and worth a shot for anyone who is a serious lifter that has never tried a grip aid.

A Gym Rat's Verdict, As Filtered Through His Computer Geek Dad
Full disclosure: I ordered these for my son, who treats the gym the way I treat my keyboard, which is to say constantly and with genuine devotion. My own fitness credentials are, shall we say, limited. I am a computer guy. My idea of heavy lifting involves a laptop bag on a long travel day. So take everything that follows with the appropriate grain of salt. That said, my son had been on the hunt for a solid pair of lifting grips for a while, and Cobra Grips has a reputation in the lifting community worth taking seriously. The Flex Model is their all-in-one answer to the usual gym-bag clutter: 6mm neoprene padding for palm protection, built-in adjustable wrist wraps so you're not juggling separate gear, and a no-slip design meant to keep your hands locked in position through deadlifts and pulling movements. The pitch is that you're consolidating a grip pad, lifting straps, and wrist support into one product, which honestly sounds appealing whether or not you know what any of those things actually do. My son seems happy, and honestly, that's about as thorough a field report as I'm equipped to give. He's not easy to impress when it comes to lifting gear, and the fact that he hasn't complained is, in this household, considered a glowing endorsement. If you're shopping for a serious lifter who's tired of the conventional glove-and-strap routine, Cobra Grips appears to be a legitimate upgrade worth considering.

Excellent Grips For Deadlifts
These Cobra Grips are the best for deadlifts! I used to use straps that you need to wrap around the bar, but these are so much easier to use, and they give you just as secure a grip, and release easily after you put the bar down. They're also great for weighted pullups. Attractive cobra design, made of high-quality genuine leather that is comfortable on your hands and doesn't slip when you sweat. They offer excellent abrasion protection without being overly thick or compromising grip strength. Adjustable padded wrist strap for a perfect fit. These are awesome!
