I'm impressed with this camera
I needed a better backup camera, and my auto dimming factory rearview mirror was failing and fogged up. So this combination front camera, rearview mirror, and backup camera seemed like a good solution. The image quality of the front camera and the rear camera is good. I needed something that would see well when reversing at night and this works well. I mounted the rear camera outside and on the on top of the rear license plate. The included wire was long enough for a midsized SUV with about 4 feet left over. I ran the wire into the rear hatch and and under the roof panels for a clean looking install. Overall I'm very happy with this camera. Pros: 1. Great image front and rear 2. Good night time images 3. Decent touch screen with intuitive controls 4. Many options on what image you want to display on the mirror - front camera, rear camera, split screen. Can even move the camera image up or down, since the camera records a larger image that whats displayed on the screen. 5. Automatically switches to the rear camera when reversing. (had to wire the camera into the reverse light wiring for this) 6. Records video simultaneously from both the cameras, front and rear. The only minor quibbles I have are: 1. No way to default to using only the mirror. When driving I prefer to have no image displayed and only see the reflective rearview mirror, so that it behaves like a real rearview mirror. The best I could get was to use the screensaver setting, so that the camera image on the monitor turns off after 15 seconds. (it's still recording to the SD card, but the image is not displayed on the screen) 2. Documentation on how to use the settings could have been a lot clearer

5 stars all the way!! Love this camera setup
I rolled the dice on this mirror/camera, and I am pleasantly surprised. It works amazing. I purchased it to go on my rock crawler Jeep. I have a large (37 inch) spare tire on a rear bumper mount and it completely blocks the view out the back of my Jeep. Combine that with the height of the lift and the stock rearview mirror was useless. I bought this set up, and WOW! It works awesome. Great daytime view, great night time view, super easy install, super easy to use user interface. The video that it records is very high quality. Knowing now how nice this is I would pay twice as much for it. I highly recommend this dashcam.

THE CABLES ARE VERY SHORT.
**** In general, the camera meets expectations. Good resolution, it is easy to use, good size mirror. Negative points: the rear camera does not provide a distance according to reality, that is, the objects are very close and the distance inaccurate. Another point is that the cables are short, especially those of the rear camera. I had to add more than one meter to my Tacoma truck. The number of hours of recording is just 6 hours. You should have a port for an additional camera to record inside the vehicle or in the driver's window if it is boarded.

Reliable and economical4
Love the dash cam. It was easy to install out of the box, and the video quality is fantastic! The screen is very bright so I can leave it on in direct sunlight, but I can dim it if necessary, or use it as a regular rear view if I don't want the rear video feed. The mounting strip for the backup camera wasn't very good and didn't hold, so I purchased some 3m double sided mounting tape. Other that small hiccup, it has been everything I needed out of a camera system at a great price.

An updated review
This camera provides me with front and back recordings I think every driver must have, just in case. This camera is easy to operate, installation is pretty easy, recording quality is great. For that exact reason I gave it 3 stars, it would be 0, if I had to describe it as rearview mirror (if it's on, that's what it is). A) You don't really see anything. B) What you see is not where you think it is. Buttom line : I'm driving blind (!!!!!!!!) but somehow I like it ( only as the recording device). An update. The review above was written by my wife. She wanted this mirror after she saw it in my car. Her initial impression was "I wanted because I needed". I installed the mirror in her minivan which already has factory-installed backup camera, so I placed the Karsuite rear-view camera inside the van and didn't connect it to reverse light. Apparently, after a few weeks of use she got disappointed, at least she likes the dashcam recorder feature. In my car, a sedan, I installed the rear view camera on the outside. The primary purpose for buying the gadget was to have a backup camera, the digital mirror and not dashcam recorder features were afterthoughts. My overall impression is that the gadget is a brilliant idea, i see it on some new cars. It has deficiencies that hopefully will be corrected in future versions of the product. First of all, the quality of the front and rear view cameras are different. The front-view camera (Sony Starvis sensor) and its lens are much superior than analog rear-view camera (RVC) and its lousy lens. The RVC shows much heavier optical barrel distortion, everything looks warped, but you can get used to it. The RVC has wide view angle horizontally, but not enough wide vertically. As a result it can be used as either a decent rear view device or decent backup camera, but not both. If you have good rear view then the camera is pointing too high and you don't see what is within 4 feet right behind your car. If you pont it down for closeup view behind the car then you will not see the big picture what is happening on the road behind the car. If RVC is connected to reverse light and when you switch to reverse, instead of showing you the bottom portion of what the camera is seeing it shows you the whole picture but squeezed to fit on the narrow screen. Everything becomes even more distorted and disproportional. The color guides that appear on the screen are useless, as they don't match even remotely where the rear wheels of the car are. Thumbs down for backup camera implementation. Perhaps a software update could fix the problem, and make the camera useful as a rear view for driving and backup for parking. But I'm afraid that you can't kill two hares with one bullet. A general problem with this kind of devices is that if you have poor eyesight, e.g., you are wearing reading glasses but generally not requiring glasses for seeing far like when driving, then you will be straining your eyes while looking at the screen. RVC is pretty useless in the rain (if installed outside), water droplets and headlights from cars behind you totally distort the picture. At night, the headlights from cars behind make the mirror show one big white blob, especially if the camera is mounted low outside, next to the licence plate. And the last thing. The digital clock in the mirror is way off: in my unit it lags approximately 1 min per week. Perhaps it is not a major bug, but still... Otherwise the mirror is good, the simultaneous recording of the front and back view is a neat feature. May be useful for proving your innocence in an accident. But on the other hand, the video footage may show it was your guilt :( I would give the mirror 3.5-4 stars. I'm sure the future versions will be better.

Nice mirror dash camera
Bought this to replace my recently-quit dash cam. I like the concept of mirror dash cams because it saves more space and you don't need to stick a mount onto the windshield. The packaging and build quality of the product both seem to be high quality. The design was slick and fitted well on my 3 series sedan. The improvement of this item over my older mirror dash cam is that the angle of the front lense can be adjusted to fit different vehicles. It came with a tool to help you run the wires for the back camera. The footages are pretty good both day and night, as shown in other reviews.

Clean looking dash cam mirror
I believe this same mirror has different brands using it. By watching some 12" mirror dash cam on youtube, they are all the same even the interface and features. So I picked this since it was on the black friday deal. Bought two and its pretty good. The reason i choose this one because I like the clean look. Video quality - I uploaded some raw 2k footages on youtube. You can check them out, just search 'karsuite m7'. File spec is h.265 2560x1440 30fps File size is around 500MB per 5 mins. So the 64GB card came with can hold about 640mins. Thats 10+ hours before over writing. The 64GB card is more than enough I guess Install - i didnt bother to install the backup camera since the car already came with it. Anyway, its so easy to install just attach it to your existing rear view mirror. By using the two rubber band, its very sturdy. After few days of use, I found that even when I hit a pot hole, the mirror didnt move a bit and did not make any sound. It was easy enough to just run a usb wire to the cigarette plug. The plug has a usb port and has red led glow. The mirror itself is not a finger print magnet. And dim others car's headlights ok. Not as good as my auto dimming mirror tho.

I like it!
I have had this for over a year now. I like it a lot. I've basically have had no issues with it. The only thing I don't like about it is the reverse lines when you put your vehicle in reverse. I wish those could be adjustable somehow. I am thinking about disconnecting the reverse portion because of that. The green/yellow/red lines are not set the way I would prefer them. This is the only thing I dislike about the product. I did not buy the seperate buck line to keep juice to it so it's battery doesn't go dead so I can't really review on how the parking mode works on it. I don't work far from where I work so the battery doesn't get much of a chance to get fully charged all the time. I don't know how long the battery lasts when in park mode. The other dislike which has nothing to do with the product itself is I have it installed on my pickup, therefore I can't see what is going on in the bed of my pickup without actually turning around and looking out the back window. But this has nothing to do with the product itself.
