SafeAMP 6V Charger for Power Wheels Red Battery

This works great for the 6volt red batteries like the one in the jeep wrangler. While charging, the wall plug gets warm. I did leave it charging a bit longer than I should’ve once and I noticed that the wall plug wasn’t hot or warm to the touch which was relieving. Packaged well. Just what you’d expect.

Good quality, easy to use its small and easy to store away. Takes a few hours to charge as you would expect for a power wheels battery. Overall good value for the money.

My grandaughter loved our power wheels truck but the battery went dead and we had no charger. With this inexpensive charger she is driving all over. Thank you! Charged in a few hours !

Needed one for the ATV I picked up for the kid. This works well. Only issue that I didn't like is there is not light to indicate charge, done charging, etc... That would make it perfect.

This product does exactly what it’s supposed to do. A word of advice. Not all 4 wheelers take the same battery, and therefore not the same charger. Be judicious about getting the same battery that your 4 wheeler came with, i.e. red, grey or black. When purchasing a charger, make sure the charger is compatible with the battery, or you could be risking a potential situation. In conclusion, this charger matched the battery it was made for and charges perfectly.

Purchased to go with a 6volt battery for power wheels. Unfortunately, the battery would not take a charge, but the charger worked as it should.

My father purchased our son a PowerWheel in the 1980’s. About ten years ago following much research locally we replaced & upgraded the battery and power cord. Last month through Amazon we again replaced both batteries and the charging cord. It was fulfilled in twenty four hours! Our grandkids were thrilled that the Jeep jumped to life. The service and the purchased items were excellent!

Pros: Charges the battery Simple construction Plugs fit well Cons: Only charges ONE battery at a time NO charge indicator light NO overcharge protection Its hard to tell from the picture but this charger only has a single charge port; the power wheels cars use two 6V batteries so it takes 36 hours to charge both batteries... really? You have no idea if its fully charged or charging at all since there is no indicator charging status light; it will charge it for infinity which will ruin the battery after a while. What would charging circuitry cost, like $0.50 to implement? fail.

We purchased this charger for a battery recently purchased for a 35 year old little bike that our son was given 33 years ago! We kept it and now his daughter, and our granddaughter, is enjoying it! :)
