I bought 1000 feet of this wire to do a home stereo install. Worked out just the way I expected.

Black is discreet and disappears. Outer sheath is easy to remove. Easy to strip. Somewhat stiff, but that's not a complaint. Great quality cables.

I am using this speaker wire in walls and my ceiling with the following speakers and receiver: ELAC - Debut F5 Tower Speakers (Each) ELAC B5 Debut Series 5.25" Bookshelf Speakers by Andrew Jones (Pair) ELAC C5 Debut Series 5.25" Center Speaker by Andrew Jones Micca M-8C 8 Inch 2-Way In-Ceiling In-Wall Speaker with Pivoting 1" Silk Dome Tweeter (Each, White) (for Dolby Atmos) Yamaha RX-V583BL 7.2-Channel 4K Ultra HD MusicCast AV Receiver I am using Mediabridge Banana Plugs - Corrosion-Resistant 24K Gold-Plated Connectors - 12 Pair/24 Banana Plugs (Part# SPC-BP2-12 ) to connect everything together. I am getting great sound everywhere. I had this same Monoprice in-wall speaker wire in my old house, 16 gauge instead of 14 at the time, and it worked great for years there, too. This speaker wire is a good value and the copper strands twist together without fraying. I purchased speaker wire from Belkin once that frayed all over the place when trying to twist the copper strands together tightly. This wire is a quality product.

Excellent pure copper, oxygen free speaker wire at a great price! While this wire was specifically made (& rated) for "in wall" use, I find that it's amazing for running under the carpet and along baseboards, as well as up the wall. I'm currently living in an apartment until our house is finished, and this wire is excellent as it blends into the wall and makes it much less of an eyesore, compared to standard copper colored speaker wire. As you can see in my photos, it blends in nicely when connected to my surround sound speakers. (It does have light black writing on the white outside casing, but its actually pretty easy to rub off, to make it look much cleaner) Being 14 gauge is great as well, though you'll want to make sure you strip & twist the wires correctly as it's a very tight fit if you have spring loaded speaker connections, and they can be a little tight when connecting them to banana plugs. That said, the positive & negative color coding is great. I really can't say enough great things about this wire. It's extremely high quality and Monoprice hit it out of the park with pricing. If you're looking for great high quality speaker wire, Monoprice is the way to go. Don't be fooled by the "scary monsters" out there, with their extremely overpriced wires & cables... Monoprice will have you rockin & rollin with their amazing quality & pricing.

This is VERY good speaker wire! Good cooper and it makes for a tight connection. I used banana plugs on this wire at all end points with no problems at all. The banana plugs and a nice tight connection. I also noticed a sound quality increase right away. The only reason I gave it 4 starts and not 5 is for two reasons. Since this is such good quality copper, it is VERY sharp, so be careful! When I was fanning out the copper for my banana plugs I got pricked a few times it made a tiny cut in my skin. Reason 2 is that after you cut the wire it can be difficult to peel the sheathing off to expose the copper. These are just nit picky things, but other than that it is fantastic! Definitely recommended.

This is some really darn nice cable. I've been installing home theater and AV systems for a few years now and had until now been using 100' to 200' spools of "standard" speaker cable. Ya know the flat clear kind? It had always worked fine for me. On a recent bigger job I was doing network cable installs on a barebones, down to the studs, house. I was running wire everywhere and thought "I wish they made speaker cable that pulls just like Cat5/6 cable" so I looked for some. I found out that they did! Then I read reviews and picked Monoprice due to it's high reviews. Although it doesn't ship in 2 days (Prime) it still arrived to me quickly (5 business days). So plan ahead if you need for order this. The cable pulls easily and is high quality! My favorite part, howeve,r is that the Feet/Foot marking are printed on the cable. So I know how much cable I've pulled and how much is left. This is amazing for charging clients. It's 14 gauge CL2 rated cable, meaning it can be ran in walls and attics. This is my new go-to speaker cable. I'm keeping a few 500' spools on hand for future jobs.

Monoprice has some of the best bang for the dollar cables and products. I’ve connected these to the In-ceiling 8 inch speakers and the quality of the cables are perfect.

These might not be fancy, but they have unbeatable practical quality and a great price. If you need speaker cable, give this one strong consideration. A few features that make this cable worth every penny: - All-copper conductors - Low strand count = thick, durable strands - Color-coded inner jackets - Length markers on the outer jacket at each foot - Rated for in-wall installation The 14 ga. notch on my wire strippers made a clean cut on the inner jackets without breaking any of the strands, so the wire diameter is perfect. The outer jacket is loose and doesn't have the appearance of a precisely manufactured product, but it works to your advantage because it doesn't restrict the inner wires during installation. So, I see no reason to complain. If you live in the Western U.S., you can buy this cable direct from Monoprice for cheaper. If you are located in the Eastern U.S. and have Prime, you can pay about the same and get it from Amazon much sooner. It's a great price either way. Expensive cables impress no one.

This is the second time I purchased this wire. Monoprice wire is good quality wire that I have not had any issues with and is truly the gauge that is listed. This is stiff (compared to other brands) but I use it for speakers and also 12 volt electrical wire in vehicles. Feet per roll has been correct, and at a good price. I will be buying again.

I bought 50 feet of this speaker wire to hook up my KEF satellites. Two of these wires (i.e. 2 pairs of wire for 2 speakers) comfortably fit in the cordmate 2 conduits which I installed on my baseboard trim. No compatibility issues; they worked perfectly with my mix of Sewell and monoprice banana plugs.

Sound quality is 100x better. Easy to strip. strong and thick copper so allow for a small sweeping bend when going around corners. I've put mine behind the ceiling coving. Worth the money!

I bought monoprice speaker cable after reading reviews this was for my cinema setup because their are long distances it’s recommended to use a thick gauge cable plus with wire that is to be installed in walls and ceilings you should use a fire resistance wire this monoprice cable is great value also their are different length rolls I would definitely recommend monoprice cable 👍
