Where should I put these panels?

Best placement is directly on hard surfaces (walls, ceilings) where sound reflects. E.g., studios, home theaters, recording booths, gaming rooms, streaming setups, apartments, home, offices and study rooms.

How much do they actually reduce noise?

This high density acoustic foam panels are effective at reducing mid-to-high frequency echo and making loud sounds less harsh (e.g., "makes booms into a thud"); Also can minimize reverberation, reduce background noise.

Will they block sound from neighbors/outside?

Yes. These foam panels can reduce echo and reverberation within a room, although they are better for echo reduction than soundproofing, block a small amount of external noise.

What kind of adhesive actually work?

The non-adhesive version relies on glue/double-sided tape/nails/3M Command strips. Other adhesive version can be used directly without the need for additional glue. Pay attention to wiping off wall stains and stick it on a flat and smooth wall.

How to choose the right sound-absorbing panels for me?

For domestic interiors, 1" sound-absorbing cotton is enough. For recording studios, opt for higher density & thicker cotton (like 2") for superior sound absorption & noise reduction, ensuring top-notch sound quality.
