Includes 20 fun activities! Review: Parent/Educator Review - I have worked with children for years that experience or display anxiety. I am mostly working on helping them identify coping tools and in play therapy. Until my own child was displaying anxiety around the tween years...then everything changed. I purchased this book as a recommendation from another school counselor. I was shocked at how quickly my child took to this book. The first night he asked to keep reading it and the second night told me they looked forward to reading the "anxiety help book" all day. It was as if they were relieved that we could openly talk about it and identify what it was. I had, for years been trying to talk about emotions and self regulation tools but I was being shut down by them immediately. Maybe its the way the book is presented with interactive activities and relatable scenarios? There are activities which engage kids in understanding their anxiety and helping or deal with those strong emotions. This was a huge help and good bonding experience for us. I look forward to sharing this amazing resource with other professionals and parents of 8-13 year old children. Review: The Cutest Book for Your Anxious Little Ones - I got this book after a particularly difficult morning with my son. He's always been anxious, since he was a toddler -- now 8 yo. I looked through it before showing him and was so pleasantly surprised. There are activities that allow them (and you) to visualize their feelings in a way that, otherwise would be difficult or impossible to explain for kids & even some adults. They provide exercises for particular situations and a lot of visuals to aid in comprehension of something thats intangible. My son skimmed through the book and I could see his mind working, when I asked him what he thought he said it looked fun and that he hasn't heard of some of the things he came across. If you're on the fence, it won't hurt to get it and have it as a tool if or when you need it. This is a great guide for us as parents and our little anxious babes to help them cope. I have dealt with anxiety my whole life and I really think something like this would have been SO beneficial -- if only for someone to show they acknowledged my struggles and wanted to help. The reassurance alone will mean a lot to your child.

Must have tool for all parents
I have a 7 year old daughter with anxiety and sensory processing issues. We've been using this book for less than a week now and it started helping her immediately. She loves this book and can't wait to read it and go thru all the workbook type activities in it. It's a must have for all parents. All kids have anxiety, but it can be hard to recognize it in kids. This will get your kids to start talking openly about their fears and they will appreciate you for helping them.

Surprised how much my son and I bonded over this
I ordered this for my 10 year old son who was recently diagnosed with general anxiety. He just started meds and about to start therapy next week. I bought this to lay a foundation. When I pulled it out he said a book couldnโt help him and I said we had nothing to lose. We laid in bed for 45 mins last night, and he had the biggest smile reading this book and doing the activities. It was the first time we had really spoken in depth about all his worry thoughts, and I felt we bonded over it. He said he used some of the techniques to fall asleep. Canโt wait to bond again tonight. I rarely right reviews but I am so appreciative this book made him feel happy.

Great for my 7 year old
Got this because my son was having a lot of anxiety and he absolutely loves it. We enjoy going through this together and when he feels worried he grabs it and starts doing the breathing exercises. For his age range itโs definitely one they would read along with a parent.

Wonderful
I don't often rate things, but this is an amazing little book. I think it is helpful for even adults as well. There are fun activities in it. It is really well done

Helped our daughter AND me!
Growing up, I had a LOT of anxiety. I had really bad OCD and depression, and recently found out I'm autistic as well. When our 4 year old daughter started showing signs of the same thing I experienced growing up, I knew I had to do more than what my parents did (which was basically nothing) My parents wanted to "pray" the anxiety away, which obviously didn't work and actually fed into the religious aspect of my OCD, which made my panic attacks even worse. I would constantly ask what was "wrong" with me, and no one knew. No one could help me. From ages 10-16 years old I would regularly pray to God that He would just "take me home" because I didn't want to live like that my whole life. At the FIRST sign of our daughter's anxiety, we got her on a wait list for an autism assessment (which would unlock funding for therapy, and there were other signs as well.) Thing is, the wait list was 6 months, and I didn't want to wait that long to get her help. Here comes the relevant part of my review: I bought this book and started reading it to her every time she started to feel anxious. The book has several different exercises to help during panic attacks, the "Anxiety Hill" was especially helpful, but the book also explains how our brains think we're in danger when we're not and it's trying to protect us. It explains that sometimes we just need to tell ourselves that we're safe. So we started doing affirmations saying "Thank you, anxiety, for keeping me safe but I don't need your help right now." She went from having panic attacks every HOUR every single day, to now she hasn't had a panic attack in about 3 months because this book helped give her the tools she needed! On top of helping her, this book actually helped ME with my anxiety!! I seriously can't recommend this enough, for your kids or even for yourself. If you have anxiety, you should get this book.

Itโs perfect!
This is like a little work book for kids! This is exactly what my kiddo needed. Definitely a good buy if you have anxious kiddos, it offers activity pages for them to work through. I hope they make a couple more we can buy them steady when we have completed this one.

Great book!
This has been a great book to read with my daughter who is having anxiety issues. Sheโs 5.5 so some of the activities are a bit advanced for her, but I can modify most of it to make it applicable. It has been helpful and Iโm glad I found it.
