I would buy this again!
I got this a few weeks ago. I was holding off from reviewing it before I tried it by slicing or chopping multiple things. I’ve had a small food chopper in the past, and I had that for about 25 years until the top fell on the floor and broke. I’ve used that and in combination with an expensive mandolin. So, I never really felt like I needed a food processor. Fast forward a bit. My husband, Johnnie, got me this as a present. I was absolutely amazed at how fast I was able to slice 3 lbs of onions for French Onion soup. I then used it to slice all of the veggies for a Chicken Spinach lasagna and then I used it slice mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. Tonight I used it to finely chop dried French bread into crumbs for stuffed pork chops. I’ve really put this device through the paces. It’s done a good job other than with the cheeses. It left globs not shredded. It really didn’t like chopping the dried bread. It danced all around the counter. I liked the size of the device the best. It’s only two of us, so I find for most recipes the size works. For the lasagna, I first chopped the veggies then shredded the chicken in it, rinsed it out and dried with a paper towel, and then shredded the cheeses. I think a larger food processor would be too large for what I make everyday. Like with the French Onion soup, I ran it until it was full and then dumped out the onions (about 3 or 4 times). The second thing I love is how easy this is to clean. You can just pop it in the top rack of the dishwasher. Next thing I like is using the pulse function for chopping onions. I think I eat onions in about everything I make. I really love the versatility of this machine. I would definitely buy it again.

Great Processor
I can't say enough good things about the Cuisinart 8-Cup Food Processor. It has truly become an indispensable tool in my kitchen.First and foremost, this food processor is incredibly versatile. With its 8-cup capacity, it can handle a wide range of tasks, from chopping and slicing to shredding and even kneading dough. Whether I'm prepping ingredients for a weeknight dinner or tackling a more complex recipe, this machine delivers consistent results every time. One of the standout features is the powerful motor. It effortlessly tackles even tough ingredients, making quick work of chopping nuts, pureeing vegetables, or blending smoothies. Plus, the various included blades and discs provide options for achieving the perfect texture, whether it's a fine mince or a coarse chop.Cleanup is a breeze as well. The removable parts are dishwasher-safe, which saves valuable time after a busy meal preparation.Safety is a top priority with the Cuisinart 8-Cup Food Processor. It has a sturdy base with non-slip feet, ensuring stability during operation. The lid locks securely, preventing any accidents. What truly impresses me is the durability of this appliance. It feels well-built and designed to last. Cuisinart is a brand known for its reliability, and this food processor lives up to that reputation. In summary, the Cuisinart 8-Cup Food Processor is a kitchen workhorse that has made cooking and meal prep a joy. Solid kitchen tool
After my very old/they don’t make ‘em like that anymore(Sears)processor broke, I was very sad. But I’d always wanted a cuisinart so after 30 years I decided now was the time. This is cuisinart number two, after I purchased a huge 1000 watt cuisinart elite 2.0 model for a great deal considering the wattage, warranty and options. But, I’m not a fan of the gasket it has... while I see it could be useful for certain things, cabbage got stuck around it first time I used it for coleslaw. I packed it back up and looked here on Amazon for something simpler, less trouble. I found this smaller cuisinart, no gasket. With the very simple, click on the workbowl, insert blade, click on lid and process. Cleanup is much easier than the elite model. I am probably going to send it back and get the basic 14 cup for a larger option to have on hand. But I really like this basic cuisinart and it’s staying right here 😉Highly recommend...for a good price it still feels pretty powerful, does it’s job(s) and cleanup is easy. It’s not so heavy that you dread getting it out either. Glad I got this one!Ps. The stem is a little wobbly but husband thinks it’s ok. There’s a stabilizing hole in the bowl lid. Doesn’t affect performance, I’mnot worried about it.Also, chopping blade is ULTRA sharp, be VERY careful, lesson learned there.

Five stars for open box (only a partial product review), four for item itself
I fully expected this Cuisinart not to be built as robustly as my previous ones, but it still seemed like the best bang for the buck. As usual, I look at open box listings first since I have done this many times on Amazon and have never been disappointed. This one said there may be a large cosmetic imperfection (same for other items!) Nope, looks good as new. It works perfectly and the build quality met my expectations of "adequate" though it is obviously too early to say anything about longevity. Not crazy about the way the center stalk is permanently mounted, have to store it sideways in a cabinet. The blade is much thinner and lighter than earlier versions, but so far has done the trick on completely pulverizing. Annoying high pitched whine, so we keep some noise suppressing headphones nearby! Much better than the Ninja (the most recent replacement for our Cuisinarts) which has a dangerous tiered blade system that is hard to clean, leaves a lot of unprocessed pieces below the blade bottom, and also has bowl ridges which makes it very difficult to get everything out with a spatula.

Totally impressed by this device
I’ve always preferred to chopped, slice and dice by hand, very stubborn but things had to change as getting older don’t have time to stand and chop up ever little thing for a meal so I broke down and decided to look for something that may help in cut the time for food prep. WOW!!! I am totally impressed by this device, I am so glad I decided to break down and purchase it!! It work’s wonderfully and I am beyond pleased with it, not gonna lie I thought it was broken at first when I put it all together and didn’t turn on, you have to have the lid securely on so make sure it’s on properly to operate it. It’s not loud to where you feel like is distressing but it’s also not silent. So noise level is perfect and button controls are easy to push. And the pieces are easy to wash, never had a problem. If you are thinking of buying this then I implore you to do so. Buy one as a gift for someone who loves to cook I’m sure they’ll love it!!

Simple and sturdy (UPDATED)
Update: I have used this food processor three times now.1. chopped carrots with the S blade. Fantastic! The grain of the chopped carrot is so much finer than with my previous processor. It makes it so much more enjoyable to put in salads and add to spaghetti sauce. The bowl got a slight orange tone but washed right off.2. made pie crust with the S blade. Worked great except the flour kind of flew all over the place. Apparently that is a great way to check if your food processor is fully waterproof :-) The flour came out through the top of the processor. I will probably change the way I make the pie crust but will continue to use this appliance for it. It makes it super fast and easy.3. sliced potatoes for potatoes au gratin with the slicing blade. Wow!!! It works so well for it. No mess, no slicing of my finger on a mandolin and no more than a minute to 3 pounds of potatoes perfectly sliced. This by itself makes me love this food processor.I still haven't used the grating blades but if they are as effective as the slicing blade I think I will be very pleased.*********I just received this food processor. It seems to be everything I expected as described. The size is perfect for a family of 5. It feels sturdy and has a very simple design. I don't like it when appliances have a bunch of slightly different functions that intend to add value when it really doesn't. This food processor is perfectly straight forward and compact.

Love this food processor, slicer, shredder
I got my Cuisinart Element 8 and immediately tried it out in my kitchen. As you can see, I made about 2lbs of hummus and sliced up a cucumber, and red and green peppers. I was able to do all of this in about 10 minutes with no mess or leaks. I like the ease of assembly. On first use, be careful to slowly seat the plastic bowl in the base, and likewise take your time getting the lid to seat on the plastic bowl. Once assembled, next time is a cinch and using the processing blade and slicers is quick and easy, I love it, and am enjoying some of the freshly made hummus in between writing sentences of this review. Seems to work great, and the hummus came out creamy smooth in under a minute. My old little 2 cup Kitchen Aid model took about 5 minutes to make hummus and it was still a bit lumpy- not this baby as it has plenty power and quickly processes the beans to a smooth and creamy consistency. I love it and think the Cuisinart Element 8 is a good value as priced on Amazon and I’ll be using it several times a week to speed up my processing, slicing and dicing tasks. It makes these timing consuming and messy tasks quick and easy. Stop shopping, just buy it and enjoy!

Helped My Grandmother Recover from Her Stroke
I bought this for my family to use after my grandmother had a stroke. She was unable to chew much or swallow very well, so we had to find a way to make her tasty meals that would cause harm. This food processor was instrumental in allowing us to puree her meals and get her the flavorful and nutritious food she needed and wanted. She is very picky when it comes to flavor and texture, but thanks to the food processor handling hot ingredients and really getting all the flavor out of everything, she could handle the texture anyway. She has recovered enough to eat non-liquid meals and some small bits of food, and we still use the food processor to make sauces and fruit drinks and the odd culinary experiment. Not something we use all the time, but something that was absolutely instrumental in helping prop back up a life when it was needed. An excellent product that did more for my grandmother than a handful of apathetic visiting nurses. Thank you, Cuisinart!

Excelente procesadora 👌🏼
100% recomendada.

Nice looking functional Food Processor
My order was promptly delivered as stated ! Thank you Amazon! Very nice looking product. I only tried it once so far, chopping onions. Quick and easy. Did a nice job. It was easy to assemble and operate. I acclimatized myself on how to use it watching the appropriate instruction Cuisinart Processor video to ensure proper use, the do’s and do nots. Very helpful. Product seems very light all around so I hope it will holdup after time! I still have my well functioning much older bigger, heavier stronger motor Cuisinart Processor DLC10 with all the attachments.......... alas a model produced before being free of BPA’s. . Therefore this recent purchase because I feel better about it being BPA free..... a shame Cuisinart did not produce updated bowls and accessories for their older models.

Great Smaller Sized Food Processor
This food processor is fairly versatile, functions very well and looks good on my counter. The 10-cup size is perfect for my needs as there is just two of us in our household. I found it a great help when making salsa for canning and marinara sauce for freezing. I haven't had it long, but I'm sure it will speed-up preparation of many more food items in the future.
