The Miyabi Kaizen 7" Rocking Santoku is a dream of a knife. A santoku is already very versatile, but adding a curve to the blade makes this knife perfect for precise cuts. The handle is slightly longer than a traditional Western style, but very comfortable in the hand for long periods of use. For the size, it's lightweight...which also helps when prepping large volumes of food. I wouldn't use this knife for very hard items like frozen foods, but it's sharp enough to cut through anything you'd like as long as you keep it sharp. For getting this on sale for $99, I think I really got a good deal for how great looking the knife is, and how well it performs. It's definitely earned a spot in my knife bag!

Excellent knife & great addition to cutlery
This is my first Miyabi knife. And most of my knives are Global and some from Henkels. I have to admit this one is the most impressive of all of them if itโs both my wifeโs and my hand perfectly. Turns out itโs going to be our favorite for both of us will have to figure out who gets to use it when we prepare food together although Iโm not familiar with Miyabi Iโll have to look into them from now on.

Superb cut
Great knife! Super sharp and cuts really well. Super comfortable to hold and would be a great gift for the amateur chef in the family. I got it as a birthday gift and I definitely want more miyabi knives now!

My new favorite brand!
I received my Miyabi Rocking Santoku (Kaisen model). I am so in love with it. The sharpness is incredible & I love the Damascus. It's my second Miyabi knife & I am loyal to this brand.

My perfect general use knife
I picked up a Kaizen Chef Knife display model from Sur la Table a few years ago, and loved it. Over time I've replaced my other key kitchen knives with Kaizen's. They go on sale often, so keep an eye out for prices here, BB&B and on their company web site.

Swapped out for Cheaper model
Was an opened package and the knife didn't match the the foam cutout shape of the Rocking Santoku. what was in there was the cheaper 7" MiYabi Mizo hammered Santoku. Not sure If I should spin the wheel and reorder, such a pain to wait for credit on something expensive like this. Maybe the 5 left were also swapped? Nice knife, just not what I was after.
