Okay, so let's get it out of the way first. No, this does not compare to the stuff you buy from the fish counter at your local store. But, for a quick meal without having to go anywhere, it really does have a great taste. I buy these in bulk, keeping multiple tins in my pantry for fast meals. They taste great, and you can easily work them into other recipes to really make a great meal out of it. My go to is to drizzle soy sauce over it, then a thin layer of mayo. Bake it at a low temp to warm it up, and let the mayo turn into more of a sauce as it mixes with the soy. Cook up some rice, and make a bowl.

Love polar salmon. Lost 1/3 of the shipment after the first shipment was returned due to broken cans. I cut my losses. Cans are easy to open so they break open easy with our transport system. Understandable

It is a bit pricey, but it is the least expensive of all the quality canned salmon. The fish is soft, yet not in tiny bits, like some other canned fish. The flavor is awesome! It is my new favorite treat! I love the olive oil packed fish, but while trying to lose weight, I try to avoid the calories of olive oil. I know it's good for you, but I consume olive oil in other forms. This water, brine packed salmon is a fish lover's dream. Not too strong but full of savory salmon flavor. I keep a few cans on hand for between meal healthy snacks.

The picture on the can is misleading, giving the impression that it contains 3 solid slabs of pink salmon. Truth is, the salmon inside the can is mush, it's farmed, and while the taste is not horrendous it is not something you may want to eat. And the fish is gray, not pink. Why 3 stars? A full can has 26 grams of protein, and that's nothing to sneeze about.

I like this salmon so much I ordered 108 cans. Tasty, the cans are well packed, and the freight packaging for 12 cans is outstanding!
