Not sure why you want to use a dongle with a tablet (unless the wifi has packed up). I use a Samsung Tab A8 with this adapter to play films and music from a USB memory stick. Works fine, no issues thus far. Just need to make sure the connector for the tablet is the correct one (particular if it's an older model).
