Orei DA21 Optical SPDIF/Coaxial Digital to RCA L/R Analog Audio Converter with 3.5mm Jack

Really good and easy to set up it worked straight out of the box with no hassle. The only issue I had was with the Sony PlayStation 5 audio sounding weird at first, but that turned out to be a settings issue rather than the device itself. Switching the PS5 audio output to 2-channel instead of 7.1 fixed it completely. Overall, very solid and does exactly what it’s supposed to.

Excellent stereo d/a converter. Connected to Sony UBP-X700B 4K blu-ray player and ancient Quad 66/606 amplifier. Worked perfectly straight out of the box using coaxial cable - not supplied, but I have plenty of old cables knocking around so no problems there. It comes with an optical digital cable but not something I need at present. As the technical specs clearly state it does not convert anything to or from surround sound - just PCM stereo, so avoid this model if you have a surround setup. Update 5/2/26 - really good customer service from this seller and over a problem entirely of my own making. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Arrived quickly and works as expected - no problems, plug in the cables and it is good to go. As mentioned numerous times in the comments, just ensure your TV can output PCM audio. It comes with power cable and optical cable and it also has a USB port which can be used for power instead of the AC adapter, which is very handy. I have read comments RE static and/or noise, but I do not ear any, just a very clean sound. Also, the headphone jack is very useful and provides plenty of volume, in fact I will probably use an inline volume control to lower the volume a bit. The analog out seems to be a bit lower volume, but I am plugging into an 80 watt amp, so it is not a problem.

Es un producto genial es perfecto para pantallas ó aparatos de audio que solo cuentan con salida de audio óptico digital, lo compré para mi pantalla para poder usarla de noche con audífonos, el producto trae el cable para conectarlo al tomacorriente y también trae el cable de audio óptico digital incluido, se conecta el cable de audio óptico digital (SFDIF Y COAXIAL compatible) a la pantalla y al aparato y, al menos en mi caso tuve que configurar mi pantalla en el apartado SALIDA DE AUDIO Bocina interna del TV+ Salida de audio óptica PCM y listo, en consolas como PS3, XBOX 360 etc. Hay que ponerles la opción de audio en ESTÉREO, tiene Jack 3.5 para usar audifónos y salida L/R para estéreos y modulares antiguos, si se usan audífonos es recomendable que tengan control de volumen ya que no se puede regular el volumen desde la pantalla o aparato en que use, llegó antes de lo estimado en buen estado y bien empaquetado, aunque es de plástico es de calidad y no se siente frágil lo compré hace 9 meses y sigue funcionando perfectamente, el audio es limpio no se oye interferencia ni ruido de fondo

I recently got new Oticon "Chili" hearing aids - they're equipped with blue tooth capability! So exciting! I'm also a youngish (almost thirty... argghh...) person that was born deaf. So this kind of technology in hearing aids is something I've been waiting for, pretty much, forever! So, these blue-tooth capable hearing aids also come with optional accessories to improve your auditory experiences - a streamer that works with a blue-tooth converter for your TV, which converts the hearing aids into your own set of headphones! However, when I purchased the TV bluetooth converter (specifically, the Oticon Connectline TV adapter) and took it home to plug it into my TV, I was stunned to realize that my Panasonic HDTV has NO headphone jack or red/white analog audio out ports - only digital audio out! Gah! I'm convinced this is some kind of money-making ploy on the TV companies' part to exclude these ports. I was NOT willing to blow hundreds of dollars on ANOTHER TV that has the correct ports just to use this device. The Oticon Connectline TV adapter is set up for red/white audio out and has an optional converter for a headphone jack port. Consequently, the Orei Coaxial to Analog Audio converter with headphone jack support is the perfect adapter to solve this problem. What I REALLY wanted was to be able to hear the TV through my new fancy-pants hearing aids (like headphones) while the TV is on mute for everyone else in the house. Fooled around with some options at Radio Shack (no go, what they gave me didn't even work, just made a loud buzzing sound in the aids). Long story short - I purchased a basic digital audio OUT cable (available anywhere but the most basic and cheapest Amazon brand digital audio cable will work perfectly), and this fantastic OREI gadget. The Orei adapter arrived promptly, and I hooked it up as per Orei instructions, and then plugged my Oticon Connectline TV adapter (with the headphone jack adapter attached) into it. It was very easy to set up and I'm not that much of a technical person to begin with. PRESTO - beautiful audio, no buzzing or nasty noises - SO cool - now I can watch Mad Men at a distractingly loud volume through my hearing aids only while my husband works on his academic projects in peace. SOOOOO COOL! Something I'll use every day (even though I really shouldn't watch TV every day... but it's one of my vices). THANK YOU OREI!

Bought so I could try to run my tv through a Pioneer SX 727. Worked perfectly. Was a bit surprised as the wire coming from the "optical" audio output was very thin. To be honest, now the sound coming out of the TV is as good or better than any of the other inputs! Also, very easy to install. I see they are lumping several models into this review section, so, I bought the blue and white one if that helps. Needs an outlet for the power supply. Good purchase!
