Ultimate Santana: Authentic Guitar Tab Paperback – January 1, 2008

I bought this book so I could learn how to play some of Santana's song. The book is easy to follow, giving you TABS and music notes. I also use UTube along with this book. The book shows you how Santana originally played the song (he tends to change how he plays the song when he is live) so you can understand where he made the changes. The book gives me a referrence point so when I am watching a person on UTUBE showing me how to play a particular song, I can see where he/she has made their own interpretation of the song. Great book!!!!

It is for sure a good book, songs are really coplete, however it is a shame that there is no notation instructions. You must have experience reading partitures and complex notation.

The music is correct but the guitar tabs are not correct, it doesn't follow the song properly. I had to figure it out on my own.

You cannot beat the play along series. Great tabs and sheet music and add the DVD it is a great teacher. Some of the Hal Leonard books come with a DVD with tutorial of the songs. Whichever product you choose, you cannot go wrong with Hal Leonard.

Great addition to my other Santana tab book (Santana's Greatest hits) and with both, I have covered mostof his stuff.I would recommend both books.Also, check out "Guitarbackingtracks" online to get some of the backing tracks in these books to practice on.

Good collection of songs and the tab's look right. I got it used and saved, the book came in great shape

this book is great if you love Santana's music or if you want to learn more advanced guitar techniques, the tabs are intermediate in reading but great for learning advanced techniques

一曲目の「Into the Night」を完コピしたくて買った、自分の中では非常にコスパの低い一冊。ツェッペリンやAC/DCの楽譜は全曲コピーしてきた自分がなぜ・・・それほどまでに「Into the Night」のイントロからソロまでを一音たりとも誤弾することなくコピーしたいと希望したからに他ならない。作曲自体はチャド・クリーガーによるものだが、曲中一貫してサンタナ先生のクセが出まくりのリードギターがさく裂したあの曲をコピーせざるには我慢がならなかったのだ。実際それはさほど難しい作業ではなく1時間程度の譜読みと練習で演奏できるようになったわけだが、それもそのはず本書のほぼ正確なタブ進行記載と読みやすさに依るものであることを強調しておきたい。
