Mechanical or nawwww?

As mentioned previously, the keys are not mechanical, but they feel similar to Cherry MX Brown switches (if you know what those feel like) somewhat tactile, but have virtually no sound.

Does this keyboard have feet, to elevate the back of it?

Yes, there are feet but they are small. The thing I love most about this keyboard is the knob to adjust the audio volume. So much faster than clicking and adjusting with the mouse. The keys 'feel right' and everything works well.roy

If you consider the volume knob to be a media key, then yes. if not, then no.

Can you see the keys clearly with the back light off?

Yes the letters have a silver color when turned off. Also the lights are very easy to turn off and on.
