I bought this solar panel to trickle charge a car battery in the shed. I use the battery for a 12v lighting system and a small inverter as I have no mains power in there. Its May at the moment and we do have a reasonable amount of sun but I have to say the panel is doing an excellent job of keeping the battery topped up. The panel doesn't have much in the way of mounting brackets, there are simply four holes in the inner surround of metal. It was a bit fiddly but with use of some suitable nuts and bolts I fed the bolts through the holes in the surround, through the wall of the wooded shed and put washers and nuts on the inside. I then put a bead of sealant around the panel to stop the rain dripping down the back. Although fairly generous the leads from the panel to the power controller were not long enough for me so I ended up extending them which is straightforward enough just ensure you get the polarity right. Its worth using good quality wire as thick as that supplied (at least) so you don't get too much of a voltage drop. The power controller isn't the best or the most complex but I found the default settings work fine for my purpose, just follow the instructions to connect everything in the correct order. You can alter the charge voltage and cutout voltage if you wish. The screw fittings for wires on the controller are a little unconvincing but seem OK in practice. At the price point I'm pleased with this panel and I now have exactly the setup I wanted in my shed.

Mounted in the wheelhouse of my boat to keep 90aH battery topped up! Handy USBcharging points on the control panel for charging mobile phones and tablets. Well proven over nearly two years since purchase. A little bit more delicate and flimsy than I expected. Different and/or alternative mounting options would be useful.

Bought this to set up some lighting in my shed. Fairly straightforward to fit it all together although the instructions are tiny and I had to look up most of the terms. Had to replace the batteries on the wife’s mobility scooter so the old ones will be useful just for lights. So far so good, it all seems to be working OK after a couple of weeks, battery staying charged enough for lights. Made a wooden frame to attach the quite sturdy panel to the side of the shed (not much direct sunlight this time of year but will be in a few weeks time) and put the controller inside. The lead was a bit short so extended it using some 13 amp twin and earth electrical cable which seems to work alright. Overall a good buy for the price and useful as my first foray into a solar power project and my led light strips work fine, who knows I may be expanding it soon!

I have bought a few of these and they seem to work very well I have a couple in my van which aren't used very often and it seems to keep the battery okay

Long delivery time but exactly what I wanted very happy with the panel ..well made well packaged and very happy with it ..bought for a boat where size and space for fit was crucial it ticks all the boxes for me

Be very careful purchasing this , it could have burnt my boat to the ground

I have three of the solar panels. Two of them are on 14k GVW dump trailers. They are used to keep the battery that runs the hydraulic lift charged. The other is on an 18k roll-off trailer. This one charges a small battery that powers the auto tarper. I've had the solar panels on the dump trailers for 8 months now. I dump the trailers about 5 times per week each. Most of the time I'm dumping 3-5 tons. I haven't had to hook up a cord to charge any of the batteries since I installed the panels. The battery meter on the trailers always shows them topped off. The solar system was super easy to install. I used the strongest 3m two sides tape I could find to secure the panel to the trailer tool boxes. They haven't budged. The system comes with several ways to hook to the battery, but I've only used the ring terminals. Plug the panel into the controller, hook the battery to the controller, and it comes on. I didn't have to play with the settings because it was already set up for 12v batteries. It just started charging. I highly recommend these panels to anyone that wants to keep trailer batteries topped off.

Ich habe damit eine kleine Insellösung für meine Garage geschaffen: mit 20Ah Gel Batterie und LED Strahler mit Bewegungsmelder. Wichtig: ERST die Battrie anschließen, DANN die Solarzelle an den Laderegler. Sonst macht der schnell Probleme! Schließt man ausschließlich die Solarzelle ohne Batterie an kann das Teil innen schnell zu heiß werden und abschalten oder gar durchbrennen. Ist mir natürlich passiert... Aber am nächsten Tag konnte ich das dann erneut anschließen und dann ging alles wieder... Für den Preis ist das ganze Paket absolut empfehlenswert!
