These are nice little plates. Let me preface by saying this- If you are looking to buy an extremely nice, weighted, unbreakable set of fine china, you should know to be looking elsewhere than Amazon. Set your standards appropriately based on the price point in which you purchase. Now, these plates are awesome for budget plates. They’re a good enough size for a meal, yet they fit in my cabinet. They are thin, but I have noticed that this actually adds to their durability (in our household) to my recent chips like you get in wide ceramic. They fit nicely into the dishwasher, but don’t slap around and hit other dishes. They are easy to clean by hand. The design on top is indeed raised, so there has been absolutely no fading, peeling, or chipping away. Though we have only had these for 4-6 weeks, they are already my favorite casual plates. We end up doing a load of dishes every day and they have made it this far. All in all, if you want cheap, not ugly, good plates, these are nice.

Love these dishes so much. I was sick of my heavy dishes taking up a ton of room. I bought two sets, and you can stack them easily taking up half the space. So easy to load and unload into the dishwasher too. I've had them for quite some time now and they hold up just fine in the dishwasher and do not fade. The pattern is beautiful, and best part is that they're made in the USA! Love love love Corelle!

Overall I'm satisfied with this set of 6 dinner plates. They are as expected--corresponding to price in appearance and substance. I wanted a set of lightweight dinner plates to use every day instead of my heavy stoneware dinner dishes. I continue to use my stoneware dessert plates and cereal bowls, which are smaller, but the large stoneware dinnerware was uncomfortably heavy to use and wash by hand; I will save those for serving guests. These Corelle dinner plates are very light and convenient. The Portofino design is attractive, even though it's apparent that the pattern is printed rather than hand-painted. The glass is reinforced and supposed to be durable, so I'll see how it holds up. It is billed as dishwasher- and microwave-safe. For my purposes, these plates serve well. P.S. Though I'm satisfied with the actual merchandise, I was appalled at how it was packed and shipped: In a single-layer cardboard box with minimal cushioning. This first box, marked "Handle with Care," was then packed inside a larger cardboard box--WITH a carton of 10 cans of water! There was no buffer between the carton of heavy water cans and the thinly packed plates, and the outside box had no marking of "Fragile" or "Handle with Care," so that anyone handling the outer box had no clue as to the fragile contents. Heavy cans knocking against the box of dishes who knows how many times. It's remarkable that none were damaged or broken in transit. I can only marvel. Who packs breakable goods in the same box with heavy liquids without any cushioning?

Exactly what I wanted to match other items in this pattern. They are the same Corelle quality.

I read the negative and positive reviews. I liked the pattern so I decided to buy the 6 Portifino pattern dishes and see for myself. The 6 Portifino pattern dishes were delivered timely and in perfect condition. I carefully inspected each dish and hand washed each one. Fortunately, the 6 Portifino dishes that were sent to me did not contain any of the serious imperfections that appear in the photos posted by others. I think the Portifino pattern is supposed to resemble Italian handmade pottery, which is almost perfect but not intended to be totally perfect because it is handmade. The 6 dishes that I received are as well made and substantial as any of the Corelle or Corning-ware pieces that I own, and I own a lot of them. The 6 Portifino pattern dishes stack neatly and sit flat. The imprint is not rough. It is smooth. The pattern on the 6 dishes sent to me match each other almost exactly. There are some slight variations in the depth of color that (in my opinion) add interest, charm, and a more authentic look to the Portifino pattern. I am very totally satisfied with this purchase.

These are absolutely good-quality kitchen plates, and we really like the design pattern. The prices offered are very reasonable, and we would appreciate it if the supplier could consider offering an additional discount to support marketing efforts in the UAE or placement, easy availability in local shops.

I wanted "glass" plates and these are just lovely. Very easy to clean, very very lightweight and you pick all 6 up in one go! Stack in dishwasher excellently. Would definitely buy these again. dare I say, probably not that easy to break!

I had previously bought the place settings and wanted to expand it with this size of plate. The whole family enjoyed the addition of these and often used them for a lunch plate for pizza, sandwiches. This is a beautiful design and they seem to be standing up to the daily usage and microwave, dishwasher use.
