Incredible craftsman-shift, however, unless I missed an easily deductible clue once the adapter was in my Browning NMO antenna I could not get it out without galling the inside treads. Made junk of that antenna, expensive lesson learned the cost of this PLUS my Browning NMO antenna.

The comet adapter was exactly what I needed to connect my NMO antenna to a UHF coax connection. Without it I faced a very expensive solution.

This works very well however I experienced the problem of the ring sticking inside my Comet CX2x4SR-NMO antenna. I cannot get it out of the bottom of the antenna after having it in service for 7 years. My antenna started looking shabby so I bought a new one and found I will now need to also purchase a new ring for my mount since the original ring cannot be removed from the inside of the antenna. If I had used a dielectric grease on the ring and antenna threads I believe I could have avoided this problem. Remember to use the dielectric grease and this is a perfect solution to converting a SO-239 mount to a NMO mount.
