Extremely useful, high-quality, and a must-have for any home โ excellent value
The STANLEY SharpShooter Plus Nail Gun (Heavy Duty, Gray/Black) is one of those tools that is simply too useful not to own. It is economical, built to a very high standard, and versatile enough that I consider it essentially a mandatory purchase for any household toolbox. The construction is excellent. The aircraft-aluminum housing feels solid and durable, the all-metal drive channel delivers reliable penetration, and the easy-squeeze mechanism reduces hand fatigue while still providing plenty of driving power. The Hi/Lo power lever is practical for switching between hard and soft materials, and the flush-nose design works well in tight spots. It functions effectively as a staple gun, brad nailer, and cable/wire tacker, which covers a wide range of everyday tasks. Even if you do not have an immediate project that requires it, this is the kind of tool you will be glad to have on hand. It is the sort of reliable, no-nonsense heavy-duty stapler that makes quick work of upholstery, insulation, screening, light trim, and general household repairs without needing a compressor or pneumatic setup. For the quality, versatility, and price, this is an outstanding buy. Highly recommended โ I consider it a basic, almost obligatory tool that every home should have.

Great purchase!
Works so much better than my old staple gun! Shoots different types of staple without any jams. I haven't tried nails out of it yet so I can't comment on how it works for them but I can say that I don't see that it would be a problem. It's very comfortable to use and quite durable. It got knocked off a railing and fell down a full flight of stairs and it still worked perfectly!

Loving this stapler!
I bought this stapler to replace a PowerShot - the kind with the forward motion stapling action. I did not care at all for the supposedly more efficient backwards configuration of the PowerShot. It felt awkward and unnatural, and I often ended up using both hands to fire the thing! So I opted to go back to the traditional design that allows you to press down with the palm of you hand like this one. It feels well made in the hand, and has worked exceptionally well in the few household jobs for which I've used it so far. I like the high/low setting that allows you to power through hard wood, but also use it on lighter materials without destroying them. The low setting also allows you to drive staples only about halfway into wood. Using this setting along with the cable guide (a small flip down guide that positions cables between the staple points) makes it perfect for tacking up cables and wires without pinching or penetrating them. This was something that required a fair amount of finesse with my earlier staple guns, and I would invariably end up driving one side of the staple through the wire at least once! The built in wire guide is a great feature that pretty much ends this problem, and is one I didn't expect. Contrary to an earlier review, I had no problem finding staples and brads for this gun at my local department store. Stanley and Arrow both make "ammo" for this stapler, and it uses fairly common sizes. I kind of expected it to have some starter staples included which it did not, but this wasn't a big deal for me since I could pick some up right up the road. So far I'm happy with the purchase and have no complaints yet.

Brad Nail Gun works great and last for years!
I bought this heavy duty staple gun so that I could recover my 3 bar stools. They looked really bad so I bought some new materials and then decided to go ahead and buy this one. It has lasted me over the years still works. I bought this back in 2016. Works just like I had purchased it new. It's very easy to load up and add in the new staples. I also used it to make this gorgeous green wall in my new home. I saw this on Pinterest and said this is the job for the my Brad Nail gun.

A joy to use
I originally purchased a Dritz 'Heavy Duty' staple gun at Michaels craft store to re-upholster our dining room chairs. On the first chair, the staples kept getting jammed and twisted, so I packed it back up and returned it. The same day I ordered this tool, and what a difference. I ordered the Stanley TRA700BN Heavy-Duty Staple & Brad Assortment pack with it, and you can tell right away the difference between the Dritz and Stanley definitions of 'heavy duty'. The Stanley staples are noticeably thicker and sturdier. I did one chair with the Stanley tool, and it was like night and day. I don't know if you're a tool kind of person like me, but when I pay a very reasonable fee for a tool that is simply perfect for the job at hand, I am very satisfied. This unit is clearly labeled with the types of staples and brads it accepts, has a tension adjuster, clearly indicates on the unit how to load the brads, and is pretty easy to load. I've seen other units for twice the price, but I just don't see how anything can work better than this. Skip the craft store staple guns and get a tool that gets the job done.

Love it! Easy to use and handle, and performs well
I've never owned a staple gun, and was clueless (and a little scared) about buying one, but I needed one for an outdoor project. After reading some horrible reviews of the ones on Home Depot, I found this one and thought it would work for me. You can never go wrong with a Stanley. I was so pleased; it is lightweight and easy to grasp and squeeze the trigger, and I especially like the high/low power switch. I would suggest practicing a few times on some cardboard or scrap wood, to learn how hard you have to press down, how to drive the staple in flat, the high/low power, etc. And, although it says this in the instructions - BE SURE to remove the staples before you put it away! You have to depress the trigger to engage the safety latch, so if there's a staple in there it will fire. Ouch. Not to mention that it's basically a loaded gun. Happy projecting!

not perfect
The staple gun part of this works great, but I have been having lots of difficulty with the brad part of it. The brads often get jammed or don't come out at all. Then I have to open up the loading slide and reset it to try and get them to come out again. I've wasted a lot of brads this way. You also need a lot of pressure to staple things in, so keep that in mind. I bought the stanley staple and brad multi pack, Stanley TRA700BN, and 1/2 inch staples, Stanley TRA708T, that amazon recommended I bundle in. The multipack is great and works perfectly (except for those dang brads) but the 1/2 inch staples do not fit in my gun.

Great stapler, if you need one. I suspect you do.
Comfortable to use and powerful, originally purchased this stapler to hang some plastic sheeting. it can be tricky to use unless it is held correctly. This stapler seems pretty compatible with a variety of staples and brads. I liked the different power settings, which came in handy because my first several staples are buried pretty deep in the trim around the windows that I hung plastic over. Everything feels solid on this stapler, I prefer it to cheaper all metal staplers. I ordered a variety pack of various staple and brad sizes which worked just fine. I can't imagine that you would find a stapler any better than this one given the price point, you could buy a cheaper stapler and struggle to find staples that will fit it, but if you get this you shouldn't have much trouble. the seller included all the information that I needed to find the right sizes.

Stupid Stapler that cant be used for tacking cables
Stupid, stupid stapler that although it has a cable guide you cant use rounded cable staples with it and it doesnt let you use normal staples at all so you have to buy heavy duty staples. This sounds easy but if you search on amazon or anywhere for TR250 staples there arent any, if you search for heavy duty staples then they all mention other models of Stanley Staplers not the TR250 so I've had to gamble that the ones i've bought will fit as none of my existing staples will. The stapler took absolutely ages to arrive otherwise I would have sent it back but it does seem well made and has some nice features such as the adjustable depth and staple load guide.

Excelente producto muy recomendado
Es para trabajos de hobista los fines de semana o para trabajos profesionales no pesados, acepta la mayoria de las grapas y se siente bien construido, en resumen es un muy buen producto ampliamente recomendado.

Finally! A real staple gun.
After a long search for a solid, yet lightweight heavy-duty staple gun, I finally found one. It even has a brad nail option. No need to pull out the pneumatic one just for a couple brads. The staples penetrates a 1/8th inch pressboard like it was butter. The body of the gun is airplane-grade aluminum. I have small hands and I did not find it difficult to handle it. Though, I did add some markings on the gun to indicate where the staples come out of. This makes it easy for me to align the head so that i can precisely staple where I intend to staple. My local big-box hardware store either has very expensive heavy-duty staple guns or light-duty ones. Now I can use it with confidence that it will do the job at a down-to-earth price. It came in its original Stanley packaging. It was delivered faster than I expected.
