This Regulator, 5-Stars: This regulator functions well with plenty of air flow. It's easy to adjust and holds its set pressure very well. It does not leak, with this caveat: When installed correctly! No doubt many others have returned this regulator because they have installed it backwards, which causes it to leak and hiss under the adjustment knob. Meaning, it has been installed with the compressor air-flow going into the OUTLET port and the air hose hooked up to the INLET port. The Manufacturer, 1-Star: The regulator I replaced, and others I looked at, had markings showing the direction of air flow embossed into the casting. This one does not. Meaning, you have a 50/50 chance of hooking it up in the correct direction. In my case, my compressor's air flow moves from the piston on the right to the air hose left. I had to remove the 1/8" NPT plug from the opposite side of the regulator and install the pressure gauge on that port. And then install that 1/8" NPT plug into the port with the orange rubber plug. The Seller and/or Manufacturer, 1-Star: NO INCLUDED DOCUMENTATION. If either one had simply included markings or a sticker on the casting, or included a sheet of paper with a diagram showing the direction of air flow, I am positive there would be a lot fewer returns for "leaking and defective" regulators. Me included. After dealing with these issues and finally finding the included diagram from the Amazon product listing page, I got it to work perfectly.

Do NOT buy the piggyback unless you want a leak within a week. My five star review is ONLY for the regulator. I tried the piggybacks and they all developed a leak where valve is installed in the bottom of the bowl in less than a week. 0 stars for the piggyback. I tried some cheaper piggybacks/regulators and the gauges are trash, you have to tap them to get the current air pressure, not on this one! This one is very responsive whenever you make any adjustments. I am currently installing one of these or this with the added filter/moisture trap (for only $8.00 more!) at every wall manifold/drop in my garage. (I am leaving the drop on the ceiling unregulated) if I need to use any pneumatic staplers, nailers or blow guns I have the ability to adjust the air pressure to perfectly suit the tool I am using at whichever drop I am at. I used some T-nuts I printed on my 3D printer to mount the regulator to the Gladiator wall panel and used various brass hardware to route the air from the manifold to the regulator for a rock-solid, no-leak, regulated compressed air hookup. The output has a 90 degree elbow and a Milton 5 in 1 1/4” NPT quick coupler.

This is a nice upgrade over most common inexpensive regulators. I would buy it again if need be. It seems to be nicely made and is easy to adjust. I have not tested the flow but assume that it meets the specs. The regulator comes without the gauge installed. There is a cap in one port and a plug in another. Half the users could remove the cap and screw in the regulator. The other half will want to move the plug so that the regulator can be installed upside down or configured the input on the right. It takes a 5mm hex wrench to remove and replace the plug. As for installing the gauge, it is needlessly difficult because there is not much space between the body of the regulator and the back of the gauge. What is needed is about a 1/2", thin profile open end wrench. Thin profile means less than 1/4" thick. I was hoping to find one in my set of ignition wrenches but they only went up to 3/8. My smallest adjustable wrench, with a handle less than 4" long, was still too big. I ended up doing it, barely, with an old pair of needle nose pliers. After installation I changed my mind and wanted a different fitting on one side. In the process of cleaning up the threads it became obvious they come from the factory painted. I would prefer bare aluminum but maybe this is a zinc casting or something that needs corrosion protection.

I was a bit leery when purchasing this, however, after fairly long use, it still performs as advertised.

I am using a Hulk Power air compressor. It is a fairly early model. It has been good to me but I have never been happy with the air pressure regulator. I finally gave up on it. The space where it was located is very limited. I purchased this regulator with the idea that I could take it apart and then reassemble it once installed. However, in error, I didn't pay attention to the size of the unit listed. Rather than send it back, I went with a wall mount installation. It works well and I am very satisfied. It is way better than the one that came with my compressor. Wall mounting has taken away any idea of moving my compressor but I never moved it anyway. Again, very satisfied and a good quality compressor.

This is a nice solid regulator from what I can tell and I hope it lasts a long time. Be aware of how it mounts AND its IN and OUT ports, which is not clearly marked. Note that the bracket that holes it is only attached with a simple PLASTIC ring nut at the top. The bracket has a slight indent to press against the body of the regulator to keep it from spinning. I feel that could be made better or a better bracket attachment to the body. Also you cannot mount the bracket with the tab downward to the body of the regulator due to that indent missing for the other side. If you mount it that way, it will just spin around in that bracket.

Jai acheté ce produit car les 2 autres modèles acheté avant fuyaient et les filets étaient de mauvaise qualitée et aussi il y avais une fuite interne. Je suis satisfait de ce regulateur. Il es plus cher mais fini les problèmes. Il a une bonne qualitée et il es solide. Lorsquon redescend à zéro il est étanche. Donc la pression dans le boyau est à zéro et pas de résiduel. La plage d ajustement est bonne et precise , on tourne environ 3 tours pour régulariser à 90 psi pour les outils à air. Enfin la qualitée des filets pipe thread est tres bien, on utilise le teflon et on a pas a faire 10 tours pour colmater les fuites. Je l ai adapté sur mon compresseur campbell hausfeld 5hp 20 gal À titre de technicien entretien avion, je recommande le produit pour sa qualitée et aussi de toujour remettre à zéro apres utilisation afin de de contribuer a garder la précision.
