12 LED 4 operation modes Multi-color RC Car Flashing Light Lamp System 4.8-6.0V

The media could not be loaded.  We got this kit when we were building a Raptor Police truck for our Traxxas Rustler. It worked out perfect for us. I didnt want external lights on top of the rustler because I knew they would get destroyed so I got these to put in the windows and headlights. I used a body reamer and made the holes the size I needed for each light and they installed easily and stayed with the provided clips. Did the same for the headlights and turn signals.There is PLENTY of wire if you want to add this to a larger RC. Ours is a 1/10 scale and I had a lot left over. I used  Gorilla Original Gorilla Glue Minis, 12 g, Brown  to stick the excess wire to the inside of the lid. Several flash patterns to choose from too. Install the push button switch and cycle through the patterns.There is an extra clip spliced in if you want to run another light bar which is cool. We didnt use it but its there if you need it. The kit simply plugs into your ESC and you are done. All of the wires are coded and the instructions tell you were to plug them in to the controller. Very easy set up. You can move them around in the control box if you want. I also used the Gorilla hot glue to add the control box to the inside of the lid. You do have to unplug this from the control box if you remove your lid. Its fairly easy if you mount the box in a spot where its easily accessed.FINAL THOUGHTS...If I had to buy this again, I would. The price is right and the product works as advertised. The flash patterns are a nice touch too. We love it, 5 stars. These lights are a great deal! Now if you are expecting working turn signals and break lights this is not the kit for you. If you just want a complete set of working lights and or blinking in series, this is a great kit. There are white, red amber and blue lights for you to use in your design. I have these plugged directly into my receiver on an auxiliary port and everything is good. The biggest downside is the plug in block is not water proof. I have them on my 2000 jeep crawler and they are impressive.Are they super bright running on the main battery? No but they are more than capable of being used to drive you car in the dark or semi dark. I liked them so much I have bought two sets so far.

First one didn’t work sent new one out in two days and works perfectly and looks pretty cool

I ordered 3 of these because I wanted to paint a body for my traxxas slash to look like a police car. Easy and fun install, only complaint is that 1 of the 3 control boxes had a faulty port and wouldn't power one of the lights. Luckily I had purchased that 3rd kit for spare parts and at only $8 each it's not that big of a deal. The button that changes the flashing modes seems very inconsistent, it will sometimes stay on the same setting after multiple attempts at changing although eventually will cycle through them all. Overall I am satisfied and will purchase again.

I really enjoyed this lighting kit. I used it in my Slash 2wd, and wired the lights through the car itself rather than the body. I made a custom light bar that shines through the holes in the front bumper, which shines very well, and hot-glued the lights in the rear in the supports for the rear bumper. My local Radio Shack had a 4x AAA battery holder with an on/off switch, which is what I used as a power supply. It works great! Very bright, I like the different flash modes, although I only have 6 lights running right now in my setup. It's very adaptable. Be careful where you place the central unit, as you may have trouble reaching both the front/rear bumpers in a 1/10th scale rc with the LED lead lengths.

These work perfect. I installed them on my scx10 deadbolt fairly easily and so far it looks and works great, although the flashing functions are pretty useless. I'd rather it just turn off, but I guess at least I can chase the dogs around like a little police car now.

I really like this kit. There’s many like it, I’m sure they’re all similar.Lightweight, fully wired. Lots of accessories.My tip for wiring is, use a usb battery charger. There are tiny ones. It runs fine on 5 volts.I really don’t have a problem with this kit. I’ve been working with LEDs for 20 years and I was going to make my own but this was so cheap, it wasn’t worth my time to build my own. Great value.If you work with LEDs then you know to power gradually so don’t over power these they will cook easily.
