Q: can i mount this vise on the side of my work bench ?

Maybe. The vise mounts from below. You need room for mounting the attachment plate and additional room for the center screw and outer guides as they move in relation to the attachment plate during normal operation. You may be able to provide room for the screw and guides by simply boring clearance holes. I mounted my vise on the front of my work bench to one side and bored clearance holes in the front apron for the screw and guides. There is no template provided for these holes. I don't remember is I disassembled the vise to trace a template, but I may have.

Q: What is the part number of the handle ?

I did not use the handle, I made one out of a piece of closet rod, put two crutch type tips (large for chair legs), glued only one tip on one end end so the handle can be removed if you want to replace it with pipe. Some times I am cheap or is it frugal? Anyhow, my handle works just fine.

Q: My first real bench vise came today. Anyone have instructions on the best way to install on the bench? No instructions included in the box.

It needs to be attached to the bottom side of the workbench top and preferably with sturdy longer screws. That means the workbench top needs to be fairly thick. If you can find thin bushings for the guide arms that might prevent some of the flex this vice, or at least the one I bought has when clamping. The front of the vice needs a face added to it that comes to the top of the workbench. I used two pieces of poplar and one oak laminated together so that it is about 6" tall, 12 " wide, and 2.25" thick. This gives a nice sturdy clamp, but without the aforementioned bushings there is some flex in the guide arms with the face flexing downward an 1/8" of an inch or so, which leads to non-perpendicular clamping. Also, use some blue Locktite on the front guide arm nuts. They have a tendency to loosen on their own regularly. Keeping those tight prevents some of the flex.
