Amazon Essentials Men's Slim-Fit Short-Sleeve Cotton Pique Polo Shirt

Even though reviews were all over the place, decided to try out this polo because of the price point. I'm picky with clothes and found the construction and fabric of this polo to be rather decent. It's a waffle cotton. Purchased L slim fit for someone 6'4 that usually buys Banana Republic in Medium Tall. The overall fit was good...just a smidge too baggy. But if you're medium build it should fit fine. The length is good, but if you're maybe 5'10 or below this will probably hit you too low (or unless that's your style, then rock it!). The lavender color was nice - not too pale or too deep. If this comes out in more fun colors *Ahem, millennial pink; mint green* in the future, I will gift them too! Oh yeah, it didn't really shrink after a wash, and structure held up pretty good, but I would take a steamer to it (it was hung dry, I don't know if it's thrown in the dryer if that will shrink it).

I wear 'polo shirts' almost every day - for work and for normal wear as well. I have a bunch of banana republic polos that have just about worn out over the years and I decided to see what Amazon had as a budget option. I've had mixed results with Amazon essential clothing in the past, but I'm very happy with the ones that have worked out. Tremendous value and decent enough fabrics and quality. These polo shirts have been good so far. They fit well, are made from decent fabric quality, and are overall constructed well. I bought a bunch of these shirts, and have them in a regular rotation with other shirts. The only question I have at this point is the long term durability. After several months, I can see some signs of wear - earlier than I normally see in the banana republic polos I've owned. Still a great buy, but will reconsider after a couple more months to see if the value is still there long term.

I bought a couple of these polos because I was in need of more dark green polos in my wardrobe and they were on sale for 8 bucks. I am pleased to report that these are among the better polos I have owned. I'm 5'10", 120lbs, very skinny build, so it can be difficult to find shirts that are slim enough without being too short. These polos in a size small are a perfect fit. The small size is similar in length to a typical medium t-shirt. They might be a little long for shorter people. I have not experienced any shrinkage in the wash (either cold or medium) or after drying. The material feels as good as almost any polo, breathable but not too thin. The collar is wide enough to be worn buttoned all the way up for that nerdy look. I was happy enough with these shirts that I quickly ordered 3 more.

FINALLY! Shirts that I really like! They fit great. They aren't baggy; the sleeves don't come down to your elbows; they look great, and would make one think that they are a more expensi9ve shirt. Being 100% cotton is very important to me- and these shirts are! The material is not thin nor flimsy- and yet I can wear them on the hottest days and they do not feel hot. They would be absolutely PERFECT if only they had a breast pocket! (Where am I supposed to put my dog treats and shopping lists??)- And I just wish that they came in nicer colors- The only one I really like so far, is the dark green. All the very light pastels and pukey reds and purples etc. are just hideous! For having such a range of colors, it is disappointing to see that there are few usable ones. Hopefully they will change this in the future- and if they do, I will order a ton of these, and they will be my go-to shirts!

To be fair, I give these shirts an average, 3 star rating. I ordered some of these to throw some new colors in my work rotation. At first they fit a bit big but after one wash they were pretty much the perfect size. The collars kind of seem to do their own thing and they wrinkle worse than my other shirts but for the price they were fine. Until the second wash and they shrunk again. Chest and waiste are ok but they're now so short I can't keep them tucked in. Third wash and they're basically useless to me. Way, way shorter than any other shirts in my closet, even the ones that are a size smaller. And the arms are weirdly short as well. I've had 100% cotton shirts before but I've never seen any clothing shrink this much. The chest and waiste are still ok but I'd have to wear my pants over my belly button to tuck them in and get them to stay. I guess if you're super careful, wash cold only and line dry them they may retain their size and shape but I want lower maintenance in my work clothing. Not impressed.

I started a new office job in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, and, due to supply issues, was asked to provide my own polos in lieu of their traditional embroidered uniform shirt. After trying a variety of women’s cut polos, most of which were either too sheer or too short for my liking, I decided to give the Amazon Essentials Men’s Slim-Fit Polo a try - I’m so glad I did! Lightweight and comfortable, the Amazon Essentials polos are the ones I reach for daily. I love the fit and longer length of these shirts. The lower price point has allowed me to grow my work wardrobe with a variety of colors. While lightweight, the fabric is still heavier than most of the women’s polos I had previously purchased, and does not require a camisole or additional layer underneath for modesty. Although I initially purchased a variety of men’s and women’s polos to evaluate, I have since purged my closet of the seldom-worn polos from other manufacturers, and have stuck exclusively with the Amazon Essentials shirts. I am very happy with my purchase, and will continue to grow my wardrobe with these slim-fit style polos.

It can seem kind of funny ordering "Amazon Brand" clothes, but these polo's are the real deal. When I think of "slim-fit", this is the look that comes to my mind personally. They are not ridiculously tight in way that looks obnoxious. They fit SLIGHTLY snuggly around the arms and chest, and drape down the stomach without hugging too tightly. Still a very professional, polished look. For the price, I would be be hard pressed to find a polo that I would rather spend my money on. Slight shrinkage after washing, not much. For reference, I am 6' tall and sit at about 220 pounds with a pretty muscular build. I ordered an XL and it is a PERFECT fit for me.

Good fit and quality material

Very happy with the fit and the colour. Have received some nice compliments on this polo. Have washed a few times now in cold and the colour hasn't faded. Definitely a great price for a nice casual polo of good quality.
