DANA Canoe for Men Eau de Toilette Splash, 8 Ounce (packaging may vary)

Stinks. I tried to return it using A to Z guarantee because it didn't smell like the 1970s Canoe. I tried to make use of it ans it is the most disgusting odor . I can't get it out of my clothes or sheets and pillow cases. DO NOT BUY THIS . I would pour it out and keep the bottle but I'd have to go to the dump. So I'm going to throw it in somebody else's dumpster.

Great cologne. Hasn’t changed in years

A scent like no other, try it and you'll know why it's still popular after all these years. My signature scent. Wonderful!

So I was joking with my wife about the old, early 1980s Canoe colgne commercials. She had never seen them so I looked them up on youtube. This led to a review of modern Canoe cologne on several gentlemen and scent youtube channels. When I saw the product on Amazon, I had to buy it. The scent is floral up front, but dissipates quickly, leaving a strong talcum powder scent, which is fine by me. I don't like over powering people with the cologn I wear. I much prefer to surprise those people who get close enough to appreciate it. On top of that, with some popular fragrances going for $60 US Dollars and up for 4 ounces, Canoe was a bargain! So even if you don't like it, you at least have a cool paper weight!

I have used this for 20 plus years. Glad to see it is still around.

First: The Canoe made today is not by the original Dana whose assets have changed hands a few times. The original Canoe that most men used 50+ years ago was a Cologne, which is a complex, painstaking distillation of many ingredients akin to perfumes. Expensive to produce. Never to be found again. This version of Canoe is an Eau de Toilette, which is why it has little lasting power like a cologne. They don’t make Canoe cologne anymore. But this new ‘Dana’ never represented it as cologne and I knew that when I bought the first bottle here, as having a weaker Canoe is better than nothing. When the first bottle was nearly gone I used the ‘buy-again’ method for a second bottle. I just opened it to find it a completely different scent, sickly sweet like candy, and definitely NOT Canoe. Sadly, for those seeking the nostalgia of the original Canoe cologne, it’s long gone. Now, like me, you may be content with an Eau de Toilette version but, in fairness, I just wanted to provide a heads-up that the ‘Dana’ quality control for even this weak version apparently can’t be counted on to deliver the correct product.

It's simply a product that brings back a lot of old memories when inhaled.

Es excelente, el aroma es muy clásico y tradicionalista, limpio y fresco, se siente algo la lavanda y el heliotropo, algo de menta y el ligero dulzor. No es de demasiada proyección por ser casi como un agua de colonia. Por algo era uno de los productos que usaba Elvis Presley. Es de las pocas fragancias que ha subsistido muchos años en el mercado, desde 1935, aunque en México no se comercializaba, sino en Estados Unidos y Canadá. Tiene su valor histórico.

Cette eau de toilette est très difficile à trouver ; il faut de la persévérance pour pouvoir l'acheter. J'utilisais Canoe il y a de nombreuses années, puis je suis passée à autre chose, mais c'est un vrai bonheur de la redécouvrir aujourd'hui. On en met une petite touche et l'odeur est encore présente en fin de journée, ce qui n'est pas le cas pour la plupart des eaux de toilette. Merci Amazon !
