Solid choice for this type of gadget
I needed to throw an HDMI signal (standard 1080p 60Hz) across the house. I also wanted to be able to monitor the image locally at the source, so that I wouldn't have to walk across the house to check on the image and sound. Enter this set of gadgets. I've used Orei products before (their HDMI splitters are REALLY nice and rock-solid) so I chose this product with some confidence. I was not disappointed. These worked exactly as described, throwing the signal cleanly to the destination. The local HDMI loop out worked just fine. The RF Blaster transmitter and receiver units worked very well too, which made remote control of the source very simple. In all, everything worked precisely as it should and held up solidly for a session that lasted MANY hours (probably about 5 or 6 hours of continuous operation). These Orei boxes barely got warm. I couldn't be more pleased with the performance of this product, and the price is mind-boggling cheap. Notes: Cat-5e and Cat-6 cables are slightly different internally. You will get longer range from a Cat-6 cable than a Cat-5e cable. Unless you're using existing Cat-5e for whatever reason, I'd recommend procuring a well-made Cat-6 cable to go with this Orei product. You'll get the maximum transmission range with Cat-6 cable. According to the manual that came with this product, Cat-5e range for 1080p 60Hz signal is 197ft maximum and Cat-6 range for 1080p 60 Hz signal is 230ft. The ranges for a 4K 30Hz signal are 115ft for Cat-5e and 131ft for Cat-6. An odd quirk: the local HDMI loop out didn't work for me until I plugged in the receiver at the other end of the Cat-6 cable I used. It seems you HAVE to connect the transmitter and receiver together in order to see anything on the HDMI loop out. Not a problem at all, but kind of odd. Just needs to be kept in mind when setting up. Finally, this product is powered from the transmitter end only. You do not need to power the receiver (in fact the receiver doesn't even have a power port). This is nice - some products of this type require power on both ends but this one does not. Makes for simpler installation/deployment.

Very impressed with the quality and the function!
Very nice extenders! We use these at the church to run remote cameras that are 100 ft away and the work great! the quality seems really good, they are very well made and pass a good signal!

Works great at 1080p 60 with newer HDMRI 2.0+ cables
People don't realize but you do need the right HDMI cable to use these. Don't use cheap HDMI cables, make sure they are the new spec cables. Such as don't use anything less than a HDMI 2.0 rated cable, If you do, limited frame rate/hz will be encountered, it might not work at all depending on the source. I've found onboard IGPU's don't like old tv's at all with newer cable types, and some tv's need the new rating to match the port rating to even pick it up. So, the people here having issues with hz/fps issues stuck at 30HZ or the screen looking terrible it is likely the compatibility of old vs new ports + old cable issues. This isn't like RCA's or Coax, you NEED newer cables that can support 60hz, you also need LCD tv's newer enough, I'd say 6 years new to effectively use these at 1080p 60hz, mostly because of the HDMI port rating on those old sets just don't work with new cables right and newer equipment. Especially like xbox and ps4 and most definitely with computer equipment. Cons: not really a con but for people reading reviews, old tv's have less then HDMI 2.0, probably 1.8 spec, old cables are the same, different ratings, different supports. Make sure you have newer cables, and hen make sure your tv/device can actually support beyond 1.8 hdmi. If your device is older and doesn't work with this its not the Device not working, it's your LCD tv.

So far so good
I recently fried the receiver of a fairly expensive extender, and I needed to buy a replacement. My modest need is to run a live stream from a computer to two different screens in the building, each in the range of 40-60 feet away. I tried going the other direction and using a cheap extender instead. That was no-go as well, because I was using a splitter to reach two outputs, my cheap extender wouldn't work. This extender from Orei was my compromise, and it's worked very well so far. With the loop output going to one output and the ethernet output to the other, I was able to ditch my splitter as well, which felt oddly satisfying. Even with the expensive extender I had had an issue with seemingly random intermittent blinking, but so far the connection to both screens has been rock solid. Power on the transmitting end only is handy, there is an IR transmitter as well but it's plug and play. So far I've only been running this a few weeks, but if it lasts I'll be very happy. Someone with more rigorous needs would probably need more than this, but for myself this was an economical and satisfying solution to my needs.

Solid performance..
Excellent IR transmission and very good video. Had some problems making sure all the IR remotes (I am using several over a long distance) worked EVERY time, but once the issue was worked out - with a slight reposition of the reciever and fresh batteries - no problems. Obviously constructed with hard metal tabs for "serious" installations, just protect your furniture for "at home" projects and you should be very happy with this; it does exactly what it says for TV and IR needs. Good buy.

Well built, easy to use, and fast transmission at a reasonable price.
I found the build quality of the device to be impressive. The size is in line with what would be expected given the number of cables you plug into it. The markings and instruction booklet made it very easy to set up and use. This device worked great on every device I tried, except the one I bought it for. I have a 65" TV at work that I use as an extra monitor. To get from my docking station to the TV is about 40', so I bought this device, a CAT8 Ethernet cable, and two 13" HDMI cables. My TV recognized that something was connected, but couldn't establish a signal. I tried transmitting from a different laptop and then with my iPhone - still nothing. I unplugged it from my office TV and plugged it into my 65" TV at home and then into a standard computer monitor and everything worked great, with no lag!! I contacted OREI support and they were very responsive working with me to find out what the issue was with the office TV. Unfortunately, I needed a solution ASAP, so I ended up returning the device.

Works just like it should!
I'm replacing (dead HDMI Extender) in my 35 feet fifth wheel RV that uses a Cat-5e shielded cable with a length no more than 50 feet. I am taking the video from my (Dish) Wally from the back of my RV entertainment center and transferring the video upfront to (if you will) to the master bedroom. What I like the most, and I didnโt find this anywhere else at a low cost was the โLoop-Outโ feature is perfect for my setup, no more manual HDMI SW-BOX. As for the TV IR Remote the Wally uses a RF Remote so I have no comments. Plus, my old system used two power supplies for both transceiver / receiver another upgraded if you ask me. The video at first was bit troublesome at the receiver end but after playing with RJ45 connectors (maybe dirty) and resetting the power supply everything looks and works great!

As advertised
This is the 3rd HDMI over Ethernet extender brand Iโve tried, and itโs the first one that has worked as advertised. Iโm really happy with it and Iโm thinking of buying an additional one to support a 2nd system.

Perfect for a TV extension
I have mine set up with the transmitter connected to the TV and the Fire stick in the lounge. Then 30m of Cat6 into the kitchen so I can have the TV in both rooms with everything in sync. Sync isn't perfect with a slight delay on the receiver end, I'm sending audio separately so it doesn't matter for me. It might matter to someone else, the delay is really slight only a few ms. Picture quality is great on my 1080P screen. The IR sender works really well.
