does it make a bleeping sound when it connects to hifi?

Mine doesn't bleep, connecting to 1980s Yamaha CR820 receiver. Works very well. The only slight issue is that I do have to actively go into connections on my phone and connect it to the device, it does not do this automatically like others I have used. But this might be a setup issue. I generally recommend it.

For tidal lossless streaming, will this be significantly better than the £20 esinkin bt receiver and if so, is this down to the fact it has a dac? ta.
