Bohin Crewel Embroidery Needles, Size 10, 15 Per Package

These are excellent needles for fine embroidery and thread painting. I like to use size 10 & 12 needles for thread painting, and I've really been favoring these lately. They're very smooth and just glide through the fabric. I also like that the package is small enough to easily slip into my little needle book. That way I can have plenty of extras on hand in case I need them. I like Tulip needles also, but these are a little easier to obtain and store. I haven't had any issues threading them, but I don't usually struggle threading needles. (I just make sure to cut the end cleanly, then pinch the thread between two fingers and use my other hand to bring the eye of the needle up to the end of the thread and push it through. I've been known to use a little beeswax on the end when necessary, but I haven't had to with these.) I use these primarily for 1 strand of embroidery floss, but I have used them with 2 strands with no problems.

I was looking for the thinnest sewing needle with a longer eye for easier threading...but it needed to be longer than betweens or sharps, which are barely an inch. I wanted the sharpness and thinness of betweens but with a little more length. This fits the bill! They are thin, long enough (just shy of about 1.5 inches), sharp, and with a longer eye for easier threading. I still need a needle threader but the sharps I was using was a tough fit for even the smallest of needle threaders before. Also, a lot of the other packs had assorted sizes, which I didn't want. I was looking for a needle pack with one useful size and that's all. This fits the bill. This will be my go-too hand-quilting needle for the foreseeable future. And they come with several of the same needle in a pack, which means I can rotate and discard needles regularly to keep the flow smooth as I quilt. Oh, and I use 12 weight sulky thread for my hand quilting, and this needle eye fits that thread weight fine! UPDATE: great sized needle, sharp, and long eye. BUT the long eye is ultra narrow and can only be threaded with an ultra fine needle threader. Otherwise, no chance of threading this, especially with 12wt thread. Not a deal breaker but immensely frustrating if you don't know that you need an ultra fine needle threader.

Needles are very thin, great for applique. The eye is larger than typical applique needles, so it is MUCH easier to thread.

These are the best. Stay sharp and easy to go through 4 layers of cotton. Eye size is ok a little small but can still thread by hand

My new favorite needle. I don’t know what it is about these needles but I absolutely love them. They are different from DMC. Maybe lighter weight? I don’t know. It’s my new go-to for single strand embroidery.

Not strong. These were highly recommended to sew on patches. Snapped 2 on the same patch-I’ve never had any needle snap with hand sewing. I could have bought a lot more needles of the same quality for cheaper.

Les aiguilles quant à elles sont très bien aussi. Je débute en broderie et j'ai suivi un avis lors d'une rencontre avec une brodeuse professionnelle. Ces aiguilles sont très fines et courtes. Elles piquent très bien et sont parfaites pour les broderies fines. Attention le chat d'une numéro 10 est petit. On peut passer 1 fil, parfois deux mais certainement pas plus. A vous de voir. Pour moi pour les broderies au fil métallique ou à 1 fil, c'est vraiment bien mieux qu'avec d'autres aiguilles. Je recommande.

Es la primera vez que compró esta marca pero no va a ser la última porque me han encantado, no se estropea el metal fácilmente ni se parten o doblan, además deslizan muy bien, la única pega es el precio que es un poco elevado.
