Not compatible
This jack does not replace the 799736-y57 as listed. The jack that plugs into the motherboard is not the correct connector and will not allow you to install it. It might work if you cut off one of the side guide pins - but I wasn't about to do that.

lasted 7 days beynond return window
It was somewhat easy to install and worked fine the entire time it was always under warranty. This is why I gave 2 stars Then the middle conductor assembly shattered just as the factory installed one. I will see if the seller will work with me and exchange it. If not I don't know what to do. I may just hard-wire the power cord to the laptop.

Exactly what I needed.
I bought just one of these before, but from a different seller. The quality of this product was better and for right around the price as the other. I also bought multiple units on this one because I'm not always the most delicate person in situations like this. Got two computers fixed and the family is happy.
