Nesco Food Grinder, Stainless Steel, 500 watts

First, I suspect many of you are looking for something to grind dog food. This works well for that purpose. While it will not chop cow or pork bones it will grind chicken (raw) bones quite well. Although, some of the larger bones I had to whack with a meat mallet to get them into the hopper. You only need to run it through once for the pieces to be extremely small. Second, I used this to grind my own hamburger meat last night and, truth be told, I may never by pre-ground beef again. I used chuck and sirloin in an 80/20 weight ratio. Then I cut into 1" chunks and ran it through the grinder twice. These were, hands down, the best burgers we ever ate. I'll be using it for sausage in the near future and cannot wait! The price point is great and for home use, I cannot imagine why anyone would spend more!

Works well for grinding venison or beef. Easy to clean. Only four stars because finding replacement parts is nearly impossible. We had to replace a few parts that we left out and rusted. It's easier and cheaper just to buy a whole new grinder just for the parts, which is what we did. The grinder itself is solid though.

I grind Filet Mignon into Steak Tartar, had an old grinder from the 80’s what a difference, this unit is Fast and efficient!

this is actually really really good for grounding meat and making falafel from scratch… knives are sharp.. it’s not too loud!

Worked like it should. Made quick work of grinding up 1/4 beef.

Works well for small batches.

I haven't had any problems. Like all grinders, if the meat is a bit too warm or the fat is stringy it can bind but that's nature's problem, not the machine. I've ground up alot of meat and made sausages and it's been a blast. Greta for the home enthusiast

Not recommended - I tried to process a small amount of meat to make ground meat and after a few minutes the machine clogged. I cleaned it out multiple times and it wouldn't work properly. This was not a major job or large task. I tried all 3 grinding sizes and each time it clogged worse and worse. I do not recommend at all.

Firstly there is a lot of goods in the pipe is too big a gap between the roller and the pipe. Knife concerns about the bars, I'm not very happy

I used this for about 30 seconds before it burnt out processing raw, not frozen, boneless chicken breasts. Sent back for a refund. My guess is the shiny stainless steel outside is just a cover for the crappy plastic gears and motor on the inside. Buyer beware.
