what is the size in inches of the small/medium belt?

Not sure but approximately 30-34 inches It is adjustable

Hello, Thank you for your question. It is recommended to wash the holder frequently by hand or machine wash it on a gentle setting using a mild disinfectant. Make sure the fasteners are close. Hang to dry. Please let us know if this is helpful, and if there is anything else that we can do for you. Best Regards Max Bauer Customer Service Manager

Is this for use in the shower?

You can wear it in the shower, if you wish. But, it is going to get soaking wet. The only times that I have worn it in the shower was to protect my feeding tube after having the tube replaced and it is healing. Other than that I do not wear it in the shower. Like anything you wear, you should change it every day for sanitary reasons. That is why I own a few of them so I can throw the dirty ones in with the wash.

Can this be used for a cat with a gtube?

It was 2 big for what we needed. It was very awkward for baby it probably would be awkward for a cat.
