Excellent food for long-term koi health
I’ve been feeding my koi this Hikari Gold for many years, and my oldest fish are now around 12 years old. I’ve always tried to give them a high-quality diet because koi can live for decades with proper care, and nutrition is a huge part of that. The pellets are consistent in size, float well, and my koi eagerly come to the surface every feeding. I’ve noticed they stay active, maintain good body condition, and their colors look vibrant. The food is easy to digest, and I haven’t had issues with excessive waste clouding the pond. I’ve tried other brands over the years, but I always come back to Hikari because of the quality and consistency. My koi Love this food!
I have many koi from Japan that were purchased specifically for me. So, I need a food that will bring out their colors and help them grow. This is by far the best food I’ve found. The fish know when I’m coming and follow me around the pond. I can lean in and feed them by hand and they will literally jump over each other to get to it. That just means they love it. I feed my fish twice a day during the warmer months and I don’t feed during the winter.

A good koi food at the right price.
Have been using this for my 21 koi for a number of years and have always been happy with it. This is a mid-range food between every day and professional grade...with the latter's emphasis on higher grade (like show) fish which isn't why we have the pond. A good food and the price is the best available. Like Amazon Prime's two day delivery on it as well.

This is a great koi food and when you buy the 10lb bags it costs almost the same per pound as the Hikari standard 4lb bags. My koi love this food and it helps to give them a wonderful color and they are growing fast.
