I DO Love This Bra ! It Fits Well everywhere except for CUP Size Runs 1 Size Little too Big. At this time, 4 of the 11 Bras I ordered are: The JUST MY SIZE in 3X, "2" of the BALI COMFORT REVOLUTION in 1XL & 2XL and the Platex 18 Hour SMOOTH & STYLISH in Black 40D which fits perfect ! ALL 4 of these fit me.. (a typical 40D).. PERFECT! THIS "Platex Womens 18 Hour Seamles Smoothing Wirefree Bra Here" in a 40D, FIT FINE "" and BEAUTIFULLY, "Except" for Cup Size D. Also, I Loved the available colors ...especially the CHOCLATE BROWN ! It's possible that since I've lost a little weight, that I am "Between" CUP sizes & the D Cup that I usually wear for THIS bra happens to a little BIG for ME SPECIFICALLY...although, OTHER Similar Styles of Platex Bras same 40D size still fit me fine now. I am concerned that even a C may end up being just a tiny bit too tight unless I happen to loose another 5 to 10 pounds in future. Only THEN, would I possibly try ordering a 40 or 38 C CUP Instead. For now, I am sadly returning for refund or credit. Everything else about it... I Love ! And that is why I feel it is still very much worth trying for style, comfort & support. Listen to all the reviews. Size up on the cup and buy two. I have been on a wireless bra journey for a while. I have tried numerous different brands and styles that just don't fit right or too stretchy with no support (useless). This bra is awesome. It fits really well. The cup fabric is made of a non-stretchy material that is molded to fit your breast and gives all the support without a wire. The band is made of regular bra material with bra clasps. The straps are wide and super comfy. It gives a really nice shape just like a wired bra but without the dang wire. This bra doesn't hurt my body like all other bras did. I can even sleep in this. This is well made and I expect this bra to last a long time. I have washed it and air dried it several times and it completely holds it shape and did not stretch out or shrink up.

As an experienced veteran of the "Bra Wars", I have been there done that with almost every style of bra you can imagine. Most of them have been very uncomfortable, poor fitting, and costly mistakes. This one is head and shoulders above the rest and it is the best bra I have ever owned. It is comfortable, supportive, attractive to look at and good fitting. In my younger days, I could only dream of a bra that I could put on and forget that I am wearing it. All day long, I feel relaxed and supported and at night when I get undressed, I find that my bra is still in place with no sagging in the front, no bulging and spilling out the top, no straps that slide down my arms, and no riding up in the back! It is soft, breathable and absolutely perfect.... Well ALMOST PERFECT! I have ONE COMPLAINT. NOT ENOUGH COLORS. Do you see the line up of nice colors in the ad???? Well, apparently, pretty colors are ONLY for small chested women. Those of us with DDD cups have to settle for white, black or nude. The pretty pinks and browns are seldom available in larger sizes. ***Sigh!*** If this bra was available in a wide variety colors that came in MY SIZE, it would be a 5+ star rating. But as it is, I cannot find great colors in my size, and the color selection for this bra in any size at all is very limited. I recently found it on Amazon in a rare Duchess Rose, and I snagged it up as fast as I could because I saw that there was only 1 available in my size. Now, I check back every single day to see if I can score one in brown. I'm not holding my breath, though. Playtex! Hear This! How about making the 4049 in red? in sapphire blue? in teal? in peach? in lime green? in a floral or a leopard print? Why consign us big girls to wear bras in BORING colors or else drive us to Lane Bryant to buy their Cacique "Torture Bras" with wires that impale us and backs that slide up to our necks? I don't ask much in life, but a 4049 in a pretty aqua and green color scheme would be more luxury that I could ever hope for. When that happens, I promise to come back here and give this product the 5 star rating that it really deserves!

Update: the new band and cup size fit (36D) really well and I was very much looking forward to finally having a bra that worked for me. One of the features I liked about this bra was that the band came down a little lower on the torso. However, this turned out to be its downfall. It is beautiful and comfortable at first. BUT, the band kept rolling up and the strap supports moved/did not stay in place, so everything rolled over and ultimately gave very little support. Unfortunately, this is not the bra for me and I return to the hunt. Original review: I found the cup size too small and the band size too large (38C), so I returned it and ordered a 36D. The bra was nice and light and comfortable, as expected. I was just disappointed that I had to deal with return and a reorder, but Amazon made that relatively pain-free. I hope the adjustment in size will do the trick. The order came in record time and I was pleased with how much I liked not having an underwire.

Cool and comfortable? Ha. No. Super wide band that is all elastic, so it won't breathe at all. The cup material is also very thick. Cups didn't fit my shape properly, even though they were the correct size according to the chart. Returned.

Here's the thing: womens' breasts are all so different - in size, shape, distribution; weight; composition. So no bra is ever going to get rave reviews from everyone. For my 55-year old breasts, this bra fits well and gives me comfort and reasonable support without an underwire. I HATE underwires. I've tried many, many kinds and they all hurt - "comfortable underwire" is an oxymoron! In my experience, this bra holds up my less than perky girls with a thick band below the cups. This bra helps corral the side breast tissue that most older women tend to get, especially if they've had kids and the wide back helps smooth the dreaded back fat bulge. When you put the bra on, lean forward and kind of scoop all the breast tissue inside the cups. The high sides help hold everything in place and don't rub. I feel I have a nice shape in this bra, natural not uni-booby. But beware - it is NOT padded (although it is made from a fairly thick fabric and is not see-thru, at least not in the beige color), so if the temperature gets chilly, you may get a bit of nipple showage (unwanted? desired? depends...), so I recommend using those nipple covers (the silicone ones work great and are comfortable) if you expect cool temps and don't want the resulting effects. The sizing for me was a bit tricky. In my mind, I'm still that youthful 34B, but in reality, I'm now a 36 D or DD, depending on the bra. However, finding a 36DD is near impossible in most bras. The 38D, hooked on the highest set, seems okay for now. I have tried on many, many, many bras in my search for the perfect one (thank you Amazon for free returns!). What I really want is something like hairspray for boobs - arrange them just like you want then presto - they'll stay just where you put 'em! Or maybe a shrink wrap type of thingy (breathable, of course) that wraps and holds the perfect shape. But alas, until that day comes, I've at least found a workable solution that is supportive, comfortable, provides a nice shape and is not expensive.
