What is the diameter of rope?

Around 1.5 cm. It's sturdy enough, if you receive the rope rather than the strap and collar; as stated in a review. I've ordered this item three times and received the rope twice and the strap once. So, buy of your own accord. Both great products though sans the shiny bits on the collar.
