SanDisk Cruzer Ultra 16GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive SDCZ48-016G-U46 up to 100MB/s (Pack of 5)

I'm a professional photographer and much of my work is delivered via USB-3 Thumb Drives. SanDisk is the most trusted brand in solid-state media and my go-to brand for USB drives. I have been using SanDisk Cruzer Ultra drives in 16, 32, and 64 gb sizes without a single failure for many years. You should know that a 16 GB Thumb drive does NOT provide 16 GB of data storage, I will never understand that is, but you are limited. Each drive has to reserve space for firmware and that drops your drive capacity, so purchase a drive that has a capacity far above what you actually need. Limited file size has nothing to do with the USB rated size, but is due to the "formatting" These Drives come Formatted to FAT32 that means a single file cannot be larger than 4GB as formatted. BUT YOU can re-format the drive with Windows. When you place the thumb drive in your usb-3 port on your computer, you can right-click the drive and select FORMAT, then instead of FAT32, Choose NTFS and you can then add large files to the drive. I do a lot of cinematic/video presentations and have had to re-format the drives for those larger movie files. I like these drives and the USB connection is retractable, BUT, it is still exposed to dust and debris that may be in your pocket, I highly recommend that you also purchase some sort of case to put your drive in when it's not in use. I personally use the CaseLogic zippered cases for storage, mailing and transporting my valuable data-loaded SanDisk Flash Drives. I would definitely recommend them! They are the best combination of price, quality, and performance.

These work perfectly for storing ANY kind or type of files - JPEG, WAV, EXCEL, MP#, MP$, WORD documents - literally EVERYTHING! I like the 16 GB as they have plenty of capacity and can fit pretty much a whole year's worth of material I generate on just one of these. And they are FAST! Highly Recommend!

I've used Sandisk USB drives for quite some time now, and they've mostly been pretty dependable drives. With this batch that was sent to me, I did have one or two drives quit on me within the initial first use. However, this could be caused by my USB Hub that I was using. It also could have been the manufacturer's fault, I don't know. However, the two or three that I really needed seem to be working pretty well, and deliver some pretty decent speeds. While it is a little disappointing that the ones I was hoping to have as backup didn't work out, the ones that I really needed seem to be working just fine. Plus, I did add an extra star because of my previous interactions with Sandisk.

Rock solid reliable for most any task.

I've learned that buying inexpensive flash drives from suppliers other than well-established companies (e.g., Sandisk, Lexar, PNY, etc.) may get one products that are misrepresented with respect to specifications. For example, some drives sold by a distributor (whose name starts with T) have blue plastic edges around the contacts that normally identify a 3.0+ speed, but they test as 2.0 (via Microsoft's USBView software). I don't know what else could be compromised with such lesser known products (some suggest malware may be on board), but this speed matter is pretty clearly a deliberate deception. Value for money is more important than price.

Can't beat SanDisk and you get 5 16GB USB

I recently got the SanDisk Cruzer Ultra 16GB USB 3.0 flash drive, and it's been a game-changer for me. The sleek design makes it easy to carry around, and the fact that it's USB 3.0 means lightning-fast read speeds. I've been using it for various purposes, from transferring work files to installing Linux distros, and it hasn't disappointed. The label space on the underside is a thoughtful touch, helping me keep things organized. While the write speeds could be better, ranging from 18 to 27 MB/s, the read speeds at 160MB/s make up for it. The only minor gripe is the slightly finicky slide mechanism. Overall, for the price and reliability, I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

I've been using the SanDisk Cruzer Ultra flash drives for years now, primarily for disk imaging when installing OSs and sharing files with friends. It’s not the fastest or the cheapest USB drive available, but it’s incredibly reliable. Despite regular use, I have yet to encounter any failures with this drive, which makes it a great choice for dependable, everyday tasks. If you're looking for a solid USB drive, this one has proven itself time and again.

There are lots of cheap branded USB sticks on Amazon so I tend to go with reputable brands. Can’t go wrong with Integral. Cheap, fast and should be reliable. Ideal for work use.

Goods arrived in the quoted time and in good condition. I use these on a regular basis for my customers photos, so buying them in a 5-pack is convenient and more economical that buying them separately one at a time. Will continue to buy them until I have a reason not to!

Lots of silly reviews. Like most drives, these are 16GB (16x10^9) devices not 16GiB (16x2^30) [the difference is used by the controller]. Don't be expecting to edit 4K video on them! They are perfect for ISO boot images (I have 4 dedicated to that). I replaced even slower USB 2.0 devices with these. I carry one around everywhere as an encrypted drive with all my critical info (backed-up elsewhere of course): password manager, taxes and financial statements, etc. I have one formatted FAT16 (2 GiB max) for use with dumb lab instruments. I have 10 in total so far, and they are very popular at the office. The low price means I can share data with someone and not be concerned if it gets returned, and having several on-hand means never being without one. I recommend GPT partitioning and formatting them with exFAT or NTFS (no file size limit), or MBR partitioning and FAT32 (4 GiB file size limit). I always wipe, partition, and format new storage devices, so I have no clue how these come formatted from the factory. The keyring attachment point is fragile, so use a small lanyard (not included).
