Bought for my partner as a replacement for the same on he had for years that broke these watches are incredibly long lasting came with batteries in ready for use was packaged in a nice little gift box with instructions for use nice time display and light weight excellent value for money

Smaller than I remember but still a classic!

Works as intended, so I got no negatives.

An inexpensive wristwatch. Clear screen-easy to see/read. Strap a little short.

I bought this as I hadn't owned a digital watch since the '90's. It's a great digital watch with quite basic functions as expected. The face is nice and clear with no reflection problems with the acrylic crystal. The strap is surprisingly comfortable, very lightweight with plenty of holes to fit any wrist. Although due to the material and how the strap is connected I can hear a little creaking noise coming from that area occasionally when it's quiet, but if I just adjust how it's sitting the noise goes away. My daughter liked the watch and wanted me to buy her one so she got a transparent pink one as you can see from the photo. She's 12 and small at that and it fits her wrist just fine. Although I will say the strap on her watch is more plasticky than mine. Also I didn't buy the pink one from Amazon as I found it much cheaper elsewhere. I've had a few splashes on the watch whilst doing dishes and such with no issues whatsoever so the water resistance is fine. The watch hasn't picked up any scratches so far and I wear it daily, even to work. As far as functionality is concerned it has the watch (obviously), a light, an alarm, a stopwatch, day/date display, a chime function and an am/pm or 24 hour display. The alarm is quite quick and easy to set and double beeps every second for twenty seconds if it isn't cancelled. The chime function double beeps once on the hour every hour but can be turned off if you prefer; I have mine on as I quite like it. The stopwatch does what it should and can be paused and restarted but doesn't have a lap element so is limited in its usefulness. EDIT 30/11/24 - I recently discovered that if you press the light button whilst using the stopwatch that it does pause the stopwatch and displays the word "lap". Pressing the light button again takes you back to the stopwatch which has continued counting in the interim so it turns out the stopwatch does indeed have a lap function. You can set the day and the month but the watch only displays the day and date but not the month. I don't have a problem with this but some might. The light is pretty woeful; a small green light on the left that only really illuminates the left hand side of the display. You can read the full time in the dark with the light on but it's not easy. If you ever owned a digital watch in the '80's or '90's you'll probably be aware of what the light is like. There is a mod that can be done if you are so inclined to improve the light. If you search on YouTube for "Casio Module 593 (F91W) Backlight Spreader Mod Installation Tutorial", I may do this at some point. There is no timer function so if you need that I would look elsewhere. I use the alarm as a timer sometimes as like I said it's pretty easy and quick to set (if you hold down the select button for a second or two the numbers cycle faster). All in all I'm very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this watch to anyone looking for a cheap, reliable digital piece of nostalgia!

Top Watch for low price. Nostalgia by the bucket load, too.

I ordered two of these and this one arrived first. I immediately noticed that the buttons were stiff and one was sticking. Also that one of the pins holding the strap on was the wrong way around. When the second one arrived (direct from amazon, not a re seller as this one is) the differences were clear. The second one felt much higher quality and the screen viewing angle (see photo) is completely different. At this point I felt I should open the case back (see photo) and discovered that it does not have a branded battery that Casio usually use (Panasonic or Sony etc.).

The watch is smaller than you'd expect at first, but that's one of the reasons that serious watch collectors like it so much for its 'cool' factor. Minimalist design, great accuracy, and a 7 year plus rated battery life make this an udisputed icon for those in the know. No wonder it's remained unchanged since its launch in 1989, and no wonder that it's worn as a fashion symbol by the rich and famous. Delivery was really fast and absolutely no damage to the pakaging.

Zur Uhr gibt es eigentlich nicht viel zu sagen. Ich vermute, dass soziemlich jeder Mensch ab 12+ Jahren sie schonmal gesehen oder gar zu einem Zeitpunkt im Leben besessen hat. Wenn man eine simple und nahezu unzerstörbare Uhr zu einem schmalen Taler sucht, dann ist diese Casio das Mittel der ersten Wahl bei Menschen aus aller Welt und in den verschiedensten Berufen. Vermutlich eines der wenigen Uhrenmodelle, die man gleichermaßen sowohl bei Managern, hartgesottenen Arbeitern, Sportlern aller Art und bei Spezialkräften von Militär-/ und Polizeieinheiten am Handgelenk erspähen könnte. Jung und Alt tragen sie. Diese Uhr passt einfach in fast jede Lebensphase, zu fast allen Lebensumständen. Und sollte sie doch mal in einer etwas schickeren Ausführung benötigt werden, so gibt es sie auch in silber und gold. Dieses Modell ist aus gutem Grund über Jahrzehnte hinweg zu einem Kult-Staus empor geklommen. Simpel. Robust. Verlässlich. Casio halt.

Offerte à mon petit, cette Casio F91W est tout simplement un must. Elle est légère, fiable, facile à lire, et surtout très résistante : parfaite pour une première montre. L’alarme, le chrono et le rétroéclairage suffisent largement pour un jeune enfant. Elle tient bien au poignet, le bracelet est confortable, et la pile tient des années. Un grand classique à petit prix, toujours aussi efficace. Idéale pour apprendre à lire l’heure sans se prendre la tête.
