Out of concern for our environment, I have been using stainless steel straws for a long time. I ordered these straws because I like the 7 inch length for certain beverages and orange juice from McDonald’s. I cleaned the straws upon arrival, and was surprised to see the cleaning brush turn orangey brown. I cleaned one with the brush and noticed the discoloration, rinsed the brush, cleaned a second one and the brush turned orangey brown again, and with each straw I cleaned. The discoloration did rinse out of the brush, but I don’t care to be drinking out of straws that might be rusty inside. I am very disappointed, but I will be returning these straws.
