Ordered for a part of earthquake preparedness kit
I think having this kind of an emergency kit is a very smart idea. It is giving me a feeling of preparedness. The packaging came just as displayed. The contents are quite heavy and are of high quality. I recommend this kit and getting prepared for Just in case. I have put it into an earthquake Preparedness kit. I ordered a second for my child in college.

Five Stars
Exactly as described. I keep two boxed sets in the garage or basement as emergency supplies, year round. Super cheap emergency insurance. Water, calories, and heat. There might be better options that I already have, but in an emergency on a budget, we _will_ live through it. This is a solid bare bones-keep you alive 72 hour emergency kit.

Good to have, but heavy
If you carry a mess kit or canteen pot, I suggest you boil water however if you have limited water sources, carrying the actual weight of water might be your only option. As for the food bars the crumble very easily & taste somewhat similar to a lemon bar, however, mre's are much lighter and taste much better. Again these are good to have as a backup or perhaps in your home before a bug out comes needed, but but as for what you put in your bag, this is not quite what I would have.

Some really good items to have on hand for any home or car emergency kit
I can't really rate the taste or quality of the food or water since I am saving it and using it in an emergency kit to have on hand...just in case. The items came in a clear zip-loc plastic back, nothing special. It was packaged in a regular box. There are 6 small water pouches, one emergency blanket, and two larger packages with food bars in them. It all seems well packaged, no leaks or anything. Expiration date is clearly marked on the package. A good package to have on hand for a grab and go bag if there is every any weather or other emergencies.

Complete kit
My review is made without testing product. I am familiar with the pieces and they are really pretty good. The kit is perfect for the car bag along with your other car bag needs.

Good basic survival
This is a good basic survival kit. It has some water, food that is edible and some shelter. I used this to supplement my 72 hr bug out bag in case I need an extra day or two.
