will it stand on its own? I want to put it on a shelf

It can stand on it's own but a slight breeze will probably blow it over. It's only 1/4 inch thick. You might glue it down somehow to achieve what you want. good luck.

I bought a different sign and it had no cord

Does it comes in yellow an gray or just gray?

Mine was just gray with some green tones on it.
