Great, unique, and very bright keyboard
I was a little hesitant to purchase this keyboard after reading the reviews, especially considering the frequent mention of typing difficulty with the keys on the keyboard. I mean it looked great, but the whole purpose of a keyboard is typing on it and if it poses problems in that area, it could be a real deal-breaker. I went ahead and ordered it anyway because it just looked so cool. After receiving it, I plugged it in and, with a little trepidation, began typing on it. I found that getting accustomed to the keys was a very minor concern. In fact, I would not even consider it an issue at all. I think it caused me to hit another key in addition to the one I was typing once or twice; however, I’m not a great at keyboarding, so it could very well have been me. On the best keyboards, I use the backspace key quite frequently. At the same time, I have had training in using a keyboard and can type without the hunt and peck method. It helps that this keyboard also has a little raised line on the F and J keys so you can get the correct hand placement without looking. I think the thing that throws people off is not the size of the keys as much as the feel. Because they are circular, with a raised edge around the outside of the key, they feel different underneath your fingers, so it takes a little getting used to in that respect. It’s a bit of a distraction at first. It has a generous six feet of cord, which is usually ample for most setups. The cord also has a hook and loop strip which keeps the cord together when not in use. The cord is not braided, but it should hold up under regular use. The video for this keyboard was taken under very bright lighting and the RGB colors show very well. I purchased this for my work office, where I have bright lighting, so this was a big plus. Upon plugging in a second time, it remembered my RGB settings I had on it before it was unplugged. I read a lot of reviews that mention the audible click for the Cherry red mechanical keys. While certainly different than a non-mechanical keyboard, when I began typing on this keyboard, I really did not notice the sound until I was writing the review, and what had been said by other reviewers called my attention to it. The switches I have on my keyboard for my home computer are mechanical Cherry brown, and I did not notice a lot of difference in the loudness of the sound. In fact, for an office environment, even with others around, I don’t think it would be that much of an issue, unless of course a co-worker has misophonia, then any keyboard would probably be difficult for them to tolerate. Overall, I really like this keyboard. It is very bright and has a lot of onboard color options. There are a lot of RGB keyboards that can be had for cheaper, but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for, and in this instance, I am happy with what I had paid for. Not having disappointments is worth something in itself. ADDENDUM After further typing with this keyboard, I decided to amend my review. I still really like it, but there is a little getting used to the keyboard before one is comfortable with it. Since the space of the keys took up more space than the keyboard I replaced, on the vertical plane anyway, I figured that the size of the keys could not be the problem. If anything, they were spaced further apart than a regular keyboard. So, I began to think of other factors that might affect the feel of this keyboard. First, I tried folding a couple of pieces of paper and raising the wrist rest by about 1/8 of an inch. This seemed to help, but it still wasn't where I wanted to be. I finally got somewhere very close to perfect when I folded the attached wrist rest under the keyboard, took my 3/4-inch-high traditional wrist rest, set it about ½” inch to an inch from the keyboard, and put the feet on the top of the keyboard down so the top is elevated. That pretty much did the trick, though there will probably be a little tweaking I'll do along the way. It still takes a little getting used to; however, the change in hand positioning has made so much difference. After some experimentation, I believe that the awkward feel of the keyboard was not due to the size of the keys as some reviewers had said. In fact, as I mentioned, the keys took up more space on the keyboard than the keyboard I was using. If anything, the keys were spaced a little too far apart. I think this is because they are round and do not fit together like square keys. But, after doing some trying of different things, I think what I found was a way to successfully type with much less adjustment of style or a learning curve. For me, it has much more to do with my hand position in relation to the keyboard than the keyboard itself. Furthermore, I think the provided wrist rest is too low and too close to the keyboard for optimal functioning. So, for me, I think the best answer was to use a traditional wrist rest and have the back legs of the keyboard extended. That seemed to provide a more natural position for my hands in typing. With a little help from AutoCorrect, and the occasional gratuitous use of the backspace key, I was flying across the keyboard in no time. If you purchase this keyboard, which I would recommend, I encourage you to try some experimentation yourself and find what works best for you.

Best keyboard yet!
This keyboard has lasted me good! I work in HR so I am ALWAYS typing! This has stood up to the tests of me going 90 to nothing on it! I love the colors and the fact that I can change them when I want to! It is wired so it depends on the computer! The noise level is as a typewriter! I love it! I love how I can adjust the wrist support when I need it! It is easy setup and it is not too sensitive but sensitive enough to meet my needs! Over all a good keyboard! I get a ton of compliments!

From inbox to boss battles...
This keyboard is basically my desk’s personality upgrade. It looks like a vintage typewriter had a gaming makeover and somehow it works perfectly for both worlds. The clicky light up switches make typing feel ridiculously satisfying during work hours, and the colorful backlight kicks in when it’s time to game. Definitely satisfied my ADHD... It’s fun, functional, and definitely gets compliments on my desk setup. A great choice for anyone who wants a keyboard that can write reports in the morning and battle bosses at night!

A solid deal on a solid keyboard with some limitations on the bells and whistles.
Strictly as a keyboard, five stars. The sound and feel of each keyboard click is very satisfying, and the keys are responsive to the slightest press, but not so responsive that you can't rest your fingers on them. It has the standard 108-key layout, plus four dedicated keys for volume up, down, and mute and calculator. Additionally, the FN key and the top row of F keys are shortcuts for common features and functions. It gets a one-star ding, however, for the extended functionality. The lack of management software found in other keyboards of this type is the root of the problem. The Fn+F-Key combos are un-modifiable (and unlabeled). The method for changing the key colors is actually pretty easy, but there is a limited range of colors. There's no ORANGE. That being said, however, the cost is about half of what I've paid for keyboards with that software, so... I'm happy with it. Also, while I did not at first like it, I now ADORE the fact that the num, scroll, and capslock keys are their own indicators, turning white when active.

So Nice to Type on This!!
I absolutely ADORE this KEYBOARD!!! 1st of all, I am not a gamer. I wanted a backlit keyboard so I could use my computer in low lighting 1st thing in the morning with my coffee and after the dinner dishes have been put away in the evening. I had been typing on an HP SmartCard CCID keyboard, which does have mechanical switches so I wasn't to worried about having to adjust to the sound or feel. Let me tell you, this Royal Kludge keyboard beats typing on my old kb by LIGHT years!! The keys have just the right amount of sensitivity, much easier to press to actuation than the old kb. I love the clickyness of this kb too. It has more of an almost "dual" click to it, much better sounding than the old kb. The round keys did not take getting used to as some of the other reviews on here claimed. For me, they are EASIER to type on, and spaced just enough so that they don't interfere with each other. I feel I can type faster on this, I guess because they are easier to press, really don't know. The lighting is really beautiful. I love all the different effects and brightness levels available. There were several reasons I chose this particular kb when I made the decision to treat myself to a backlit board. 1st, it had to be mechanical. 2nd, it had to have individually lit, dimmable multi-color keys. 3rd, it had to have a wrist rest. I know, you can buy your own stand alone wrist rest, but I felt like for the money these backlit boards with all the features I mentioned cost, it ought to have a WR. 4th, it had to be beautiful and fun. And finally, it had to come in at less than $75. This ticked all the boxes, but I was not prepared for what a joy it is to use this keyboard! I LOVE the steampunk vibe and retro look combined with the gorgeous lighting. I LOVE the ease of typing. I LOVE the sound!! The cord has a little velcro piece attached to gather any slack in, which was an added little bonus to me so I don't have to worry about my dog getting into the slack. The ONLY thing that could be improved on IMO is the wrist rest could have been padded. I'm all about comfort and ergonomics so I will most likely purchase a gel rest to use instead of the included plastic one. I will probably just remove the existing one altogether rather than keep it folded beneath. I will say that the kb is quite awkward to use with the wrist rest tucked beneath it, both sitting flat or with the legs extended for incline. Speaking of the legs, there are two different settings of incline which I found to be quite nice. I currently have mine on the steepest incline setting and it gives me great visualization of all the keys even though I don't need to see them, just for certain characters I don't use often. All in all, I am so pleased with my purchase. If you're still on the fence, just GET IT! You can always return it if it's not for you. :) Edit: I did purchase a pretty turquoise mf/gel wrist rest, came with a separate little one for the mouse. But instead of removing the attached plastic wr, I just place it in front of it. I don't tuck the attached wr under, but keep it extended and my padded rest butts up to it. I have long fingers so this setup works really will for me. Will add a pic.

It is beautiful but....
Update: 1/15/2024 I am giving it 5 stars for the customer service I received. The item did keep having issues. With the color swatch and then the constant shutting down after sleep mode of off mode. But I'm sure this was just a fluke, there are probably others that aren't defective like the one I got. From the other reviews it seems that I just managed to get the lemon is all. Thanks again customer service (J-Devol)! I appreciate the help! I want to give this product 5 stars, but I am struggling to do so. If I can't get any help with making it do what I want it to do, and if it keeps having the issue that it is having then the stars will stay the same and I will have to return it. I'm giving myself a couple days to see if I can solve the issues I'm having with it before resulting to returning it. I will start with the positive. My 5 stars goes towards this unit being extremely beautiful. Eye catching. Operating, typing wise, with the clickity clack (one of the many reasons I picked this item) is super amazing! I just love it! It is a joy to have. My only complaint lands on the negative issues I'm running into. The instructions are near to impossible to help with programming. Unless my item is defective, there are some things it just won't do no matter how many tries I've given it. One of the top reasons I picked it was for the RGB factor. I have a few personal quirks, like OCD, etc that make it so that if the things I'm dealing with on a daily basis aren't just so, it bugs the ever living you know what out of me. Like trying to program the color that you want to use. It clearly has the color available, cause I can see it rotate through during a certain rainbow mode, and I can get it to the solid colors but I can't seem to stop it on the color I really want. Hot Pink. Not purple, not some ugly red or orange, blue is pretty but not the color I want and not baby pink, I'm so sick of the computer industry having only baby pink as a color option for girls who happen to like pink, give me bold hot pink. Please. Anyhow, it just doesn't do it. RGB, means it should let you. And if there is a way to program it, the instructions are in another language, and what English is available, isn't enough to help you get the colors you want. I've researched high and low but have gotten no where online. Nothing on YouTube. Nothing anywhere. Now enters the other issue I'm having. Which is the part where when I turn off my computer at night. The next morning turning it on, the key board will not work unless I unplug it and replug it back in. This is super annoying. Is it supposed to be this way??? I highly doubt that. So, anyhow, if the seller sees this and wants to freely send me out a new keyboard to rule out defect (and with instructions on how to set the color I want) and send me a box with free return on it then I'll gladly swap it to see, other wise if I can't figure this issue out in the next couple days, I'll have to return it. But for now, 3 stars and if I have to return it, it will go down to 1 star for customer service and poor product. Which would be a shame because it is such a beautiful product.

Amazing Tactile ASMR Luxury Keyboard
Ok, firstly, I rarely write reviews. I had this in one of my lists for 2 years and it went on sale on Black Friday for $50 and decided to get it. I read all the negative reviews also and purchased it anyway (I'll follow up on those later). Let me start by saving I have never had a luxury keyboard or anything like that. I typically worked with stock or easily affordable keyboards and mice. So if you're like me, this review will be most helpful to you. I cannot critique this from a high-end perspective because I am a plebian lol I love this keyboard. The response and tactile elements are very satisfying. The LEDs are beautiful and not distracting. There are a bunch of different color settings to equip (Fn + Del, Page up, Page down, Home, etc). To me everything about this keyboard is a win. There is a little learning curve as there is transitioning to any keyboard of a different size, however, there is a little more of a learning curve going from square keys to rounded keys (this took me 2-3 hours). From the moment I took this keyboard out of the box I knew it was going to be great. The keys are straight up ASMR and the push back on the keys is fantastic for the tactile sensation. Let be clear that this keyboard does make audible clicks and may be louder than what you're used to working on (for me I was working off of a laptop keyboard). I love that though and that's where the ASMR comes in. Also, I think different sides of the keyboard have different button click feels to me; which I love. This is the best keyboard I have ever owned and I am very much loving it for the price. Some of the one star reviews say there is fading on the keys after use and the silver key rings fall off. There is a 5 star reviewer (I believe) that put the Amazon link for replacement keys. A full set is under $20. For this keyboard, I have no problem buying the keys and doing that in the future if need be. To me that's absolutely worth it. Another reviewer said that the Volume +, Volume -, Mute, and Calc keys didn't correspond to the functions on the key itself, this has not been my experience. I am unsure what happened with their item but this is not something I've experienced. I also find the dedicated Calc Key fantastic because I will be using this keyboard for work and sometimes I do need to use the Calculator. A few one star reviews said the keys ghost or activate commands unprompted, this has not been my experience. I think one reviewer said there is no light for cap lock or the other locks. I can confirm that there is indeed a light but you don't see as well because everything is lit up, but there is definitely an extra light that comes on when cap lock and num lock is on. If this is very important to you, you can change to a less bright setting where that will stand out more (easy way to see it without doing this is looking at the key rim directly in-front of that key, or the key toward the right; it will reflect back a little off the rim). I can't speak toward longevity unfortunately, but from the way it feels and responds now and the quality of it's build, it doesn't feel like it's going to break on me, but, that remains to be seen in time. I did get the extra warranty with this just in case. Actually, particularly because of the 1 star reviews. I think 2 or 3 years was $8. It's a wonderful keyboard from my perspective and I would gladly buy it again. Hope this review was helpful to you!

Fair Price
Overall, this keyboard is amazing and very fun to use. This keyboard has a very nice mechanical sound and feel to it. Still functions well with the rounded typewriter keys it has. The RGB is always a nice touch and easily adjustable. The added audio playback controls are a nice added feature. Overall, a great buy for a fair price.

Great keyboard BUT no software
The keyboard its self is great and and i have little bad to say other than it takes quite some time to get used to cause of the circular buttons and the sensitive keys you. Also you can have many different colours and effects on it however it is supposed to be programmable through . the software link however the link takes you to a folder of which is empty and u cant find software for the s108 on the Rk website.

I love it
I had this keyboard now for quite some time. I still love it. I always wanted a typewrite styled keyboard but with a more modern touch. This is it. The round keys take some time to get used to as they are a little more sensitive. I already kinda broke a bit of the silver part on the space key, but nothing a little glue cannot fix.

Looks amazing!
Bought this as a Christmas present, so won’t really get to test it for a bit, but it looks awesome. Not bought for the gaming functions, but more as a cool present for a writer. While the packaging wasn’t the best to protect the keyboard during shipping, it arrived almost two weeks early. The lighting is amazing and seems the perfect brightness, even in a dark room. After reading some of the reviews, I was concerned the keyboard sounds may be too loud. But they’re noticeable without bearing over powering. I think this is a great item.

One of the best keyboard I used
This the best keyboard I used for the last 2 years. It still works perfectly fine. The button design is so good, you get that typewriter feeling. And the rgb light, and overall design and functionality is really pleasant. Highly recommended.
