Does not fit Milwaukee M12 Fuel Multitool
The chart would make you believe this is compatible with Milwaukee multi tools. IT IS NOT. While the star lock shape is compatible, the mount on the M12 fuel does not stick out far enough to reach the starlock on the attachment. This graphic needs updated, it’s very misleading.

FIckle to use but ultimately helpful
These ultimately do what they are intended for. I have a massive amount of oak trim to handle in a big historic house remodel, with lots of runs of concave and convex features. The forms provided fit my need pretty well. The biggest drawback is that the clamp is REALLY TIGHT and it is a lot of work to change the sandpaper and get the form and the sandpaper re-seated. Given the small working area, the sanding medium has to be changed very often. Pretty much impossible with two hands to change the sandpaper while the clamp is attached to the tool. Best workflow for me so far has been to pop it off and clamp it (ideally in a vice) to hold it while changing sandpaper. The cork form and the sandpaper has to be lined up and carefully fit into the clamp on both sides at once. Since the clamp is just some type of strong plastic, I am concerned about breaking the clamp or weakening it over time. Long term durability of the cork forms is also up in the air.The cloth-like pre-cut sandpaper that comes with in a variety of grit is very high quality, but any type of big job will go through it very quickly. I have been using roll adhesive sandpaper with it which also helps getting it all in the clamp, since it is stuck to the cork form.I was not thrilled to go buy a whole new Starlock compliant oscillating multi-tool to use this, but there really aren't many competing options out there. Porter Cable had a discontinued product you can still find that uses adhesive paper on its forms instead of a clamp, but by many accounts it is not so great. Someone needs to make a platform for a generic OMT attachment that allows custom applications.I suspect I may end up buying some bulk cork to hand-cut replacement forms if the clamp lasts. So far this is doing OK, warts and all, but I am definitely doing as much removal as possible by other means (scraping, rotary tool, shaped hand sanding forms, etc) before using this, and hope it lasts past removal and into finish prep.

Poorly made product that works better than the original.
I had bought the original profile sanding set which was terrible. The unit could not hold the sandpaper and profile while sanding; it would fall apart. The new profile sanding set functions much better in that it holds together during sanding operations. However, the unit is very cheaply made and it is really difficult to load the sandpaper. The profiles are made of cork which are not likely to be durable over time. Good thing is I was able to more custom shape them; could not do that with the original hard material. The unit holding the profiles is all plastic that looks like it can break over time trying to load the sandpaper. Once you have it all together it functions o.k. This product is overpriced and Fein should be ashamed of itself for producing such a cheap product.

cork inserts
This is a poor substitute for the original . However. if you have the original with rubber blocks ,the blocks will fit the newer version. The original will not fit newer stalock plus version. If you really need this try to find an older version with the rubber blocks and then purchase the new one. Otherwise I would give it a one or two.

Worst thing I ever purchased!!!!! :(
I am a Fein tool owner I love the tool its self..... The old school one I still have the rubber sanding profiles...this product is cheap and worthless.... Basically, cork and it fell apart while sand and putting the sandpaper on was no fun task either..... I jumped the gun and disposed of the packing or i would have sent it back. Don't waist your money!!!

Quality
I have the same sander for my Fein Multimaster. It is made of metal and the sanding blocks are made of hard rubber.. The new Fein sander 700 is made of plastic and the blocks are made of what uprears to be pressed cork. They also are out of shape. I also like my old style case made of metal. The new one is plastic. It seam to me the quality is not getting better. I will start buying other brand tools.

Not Fein's finest work
I have a Fein multitool, and a Fein extraction unit, both are brilliant machines. This however is the cheapest, nastiest piece of tut which may possibly have you swearing very shortly after opening the packet. If you are lucky, the cork profile may last longer than nine minutes before disintegrating. It disintegrated because it flies out across the workshop every few seconds of work, and is too fragile to keep pushing back into the plastic holder. I went back to using a piece of Mirka Abranet abrasive wrapped round a dowel to hand sand grooves, it was faster, quieter and gave a better result. I suppose Fein can add this to their impressive list of attachments, but it is rubbish and not cheap for this level of rubbish.

Fein are on rocky ground - trading on past German glory is a sign of rot
Ive owned this item before - pre starlock days. Sadly it doesn’t fit the new starlock machine. So I bought this thinking it would be the same quality. Sadly it’s not even close to delivering on the Fein German engineering boasts that’s displayed on the packaging.I’ve decided to put my starlock machine on EBay after receiving this rubbish. I no longer want to own it if the quality of accessories are this poor. I’m off to buy a Festool now.
