The Civil War in Kerry: Defending the Republic Paperback – Import, 16 June 2008

Very good book for anyone who is interested in this particular period ,as I live within that area of the world and pass through many of the sites involved.

Well Written

I bought the book because my ancestors are from this area of Ireland. Several of my father's uncles were members of the IRA before this event. I could never understand why this civil war came happened following an agreement with the English to leave much of Ireland alone. It proved my original notion of what happened here. A total futile series of events that cost Irish lives for no good reason.
