Wallmaster 24" Folding Shelf Brackets Wall Mount Collapsible Shelf Bracket

I only just installed these so time will tell but so far they are perfect! I set them up for a fold down standing desk in my home office and the table/desk top I used is pretty heavy and solid. These were exactly what I needed to make me feel like not only will it hold up the desk, but also my weight if I lean on it whilst working! The black is sleek and invisible against my gray wall and the mechanism is simple and easy to use. The bolts that came with it seemed cheap and small so I used my own but that wasn’t a big deal.

Exactly what I was looking for. As you can see, 3 of these things easilly hold up 175 pounds. I used them to build a golf club work bench. When they are locked they are extremely sturdy and they feel really high quality with a lot of hefty to them. The length is great and they're able to hold my bench without the rails sticking out from underneath. Its also really easy to fold and unfold of you want it out of the way but personally I just keep it folded out, its nice to have the option though.

I have been on a garage organization bender. I needed a workbench that was low profile and did not take up valuable floor space. I decided to build a floating bench that did not need legs directly resting on the floor. After searching around for different types of wall brackets, I came across these heavy duty, fold-able, brackets. I ordered two pairs of brackets. The brackets arrived quickly. One of the boxes was slightly damaged, but the contents were undamaged. It was immediately noticeable from their heft that the brackets were of good quality. I have no doubt that each set will hold their claimed 500 lbs. of weight. In the opened position, the brackets measure 23" front to back and 21 and 1/2" vertically (both measurements are slightly shorter than the product's description) The brackets are 1 1/2" wide and about 1" thick. After fabricating the top for the workbench, I spaced the inboard and outboard brackets at 46" to accommodate the items I wanted to put under the bench. The brackets easily handle the load span of the bench top and keep the top from flexing or moving from side to side. The brackets were relatively easy to hang. By following the directions and making sure the tops of the brackets were all level with each other, it was easy to mount the bench top to the brackets. I left the wall mounting screws a little loose while I positioned and screwed the top to the brackets. I tested folding and unfolding the workbench a few times and tightened all of the screws once I was satisfied with the bracket's operation. Even though there are four (4) individual brackets, it is not difficult to fold the table down and lift it up (as seen in the video). The manufacturer has addressed complaints from older reviews by adding a pilot hole in the top bracket to access the upper most mounting hole on the wall side of the bracket. The bracket would be easier to position if the top of the wall-side bracket were square, instead of round, but this is a minor complaint. In summary, the brackets are very sturdy and easy to use. Given the load rating for these brackets, you would be hard pressed to find a fixed wall bracket that performs as well as these fold-able brackets. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a space saving mounting option for a shelf, bench, or table.

Folding shelf Brackets are extremely well made. I have a small room that I wanted to make into a sewing room so I bought this item to put my sewing machine on. They are very sturdy, very easy to put in, and the overall idea of making a folding table worked out just awesome. Just as listed when the table is not in use it folds against the wall and basically gives your room back. I couldn't be more thrilled with this concept. Here's something to keep in mind when you extend the brackets they are not quiet they do make a metal clunking sound as you would expect from just a metal on metal bracket. I also noticed for sewing no matter how secure you make your table there was a little vibration do to the way the brackets are made. I corrected this by placing an piece of rubber\foam mat under my machine and it seemed to solve my vibration issue. If you are using it for a craft table or hobby table you'll be pleased. I used a 50' by 24' piece of oak plywood for my top. A great purchase, very well packed, somewhat heavy so you may need a little assistance on install and leveling. Item came with all the screws etc for wall mounting and table top mounting.

Used for a fold up Bistro table with aa solid 1.5” solid wood top. Brackets were a little pricey, but well worth the cost.

The weight capacity is listed at 550# and it feels like it would support all of that. I used the hinges to allow me to have a work top in my garage that would fold so I was able to use the full length of the garage when I didn't need the work top. It works well.

I was apprehensive about buying these as I thought they wouldn’t be sturdy enough…. Well I must say that they are worth buying, very stable and sturdy bracket. Don’t waste your money on a cheaper set!!!
