very good replacement for the wallet that i had prior that was bursting seams after many years of use wallet is very well constructed and an almost identical replacement for my prior one, other than mine was a more harder leather and a Harley Davidson branded wallet it was an identical match in every way plenty of room for all items including the fact that you do NOT have to fold money for it to fit inside and a checkbook will easily fit into it look forward to many years of use from this one (would love to order a second as a future back up as i am rough on them with work and such but currently unavailable) the ONLY downside i had to this item was that it has a clip on chain to attach it to the wallet that i can see breaking in time (replaced this with a sturdy link chain) and it also has a belt loop that some may like but i don't prefer overall an excellent item

The wallet itself is perfect, just what I was looking for. Heavy duty leather, big pockets for a variety of items, not just paper money. My beef is Amazon shipping. They shipped it in a thin plastic envelope, no padding, no box, nothing. As a result, the attached chain got wrapped around the wallet and left scars. I was going to give it as a gift, but now it looks "used" instead of brand new. Thanks alot Amazon!

UPDATE I got a longer, heavier chain with a "dog snap" on one end for the belt loop and put a metal, screw closure C clamp to attach to wallet ring. Kept loosening up. 1 drop Locktite fixed that. Wallet has served me fine...basically a mini-briefcase with a little money in it. Carry all kinds of documents, will hold a whole checkbook, licenses, cards My only 2 regrets...1) no place special to put a spare key. Yes a large zippered compartment...btw the lever of the zipper broke off the other day, makes opening a bit more of a effort but not bad. And 2) it really is BIG. And with the heavier longer chain, it's a problem to carry if you throw on some sweats to run to the store or an errand. I keep a small old billfold in the truck and will put license, some money and my CCW in it to carry in those kind of pants and lock this up in the console safe compartment. May replace with a shorter one if I can find one with this high a quality leather I have had a problem with my old billfold falling out when changing clothes. Decided to try a truckers/bikers wallet. I read the information on Amazon and decided on this one. With Prime membership (which you really do get your money's worth if you buy frequently or use the lending library for books or especially videos)I had it within 48 hours. Nice leather...thick but just soft enough to be well broken in. Really liked the small pocket in the front for driver license, CCW,insurance card. There is another one between the two large compartments (I am using it as one...don't know if that was original idea or not. Love the large zippered compartment. Only real complaints...chain could be 2 inches longer and be perfect length. Biggest complaint....crappy small little "S" hook connecting wallet to chain.I am replacing with a heavy keyring. I ordered a longer chain and will see which size is better. If this one wears out someday, I'd be happy to reorder one

I purchased this as a gift for my husband because he needed a new wallet and frequently mentions the wallet he has had since he was 18 years old which appeared to be identical to this one. The old one was retired many years ago because the stitching was gone but he never got rid of it because "someday" he would have it repaired. Since he couldn't wait for someday to arrive I ordered this hoping he would like it. I was blown away when it arrived. It was exactly as advertised and is well manufactured. The quality of the leather along with the quality stitching and snap closure tell me hubby will be carrying this for many years but the best part is HE LOVES IT.

I am a bartender that deals with lots of small bills at the end of the night and this wallet keeps the bills straight and undamaged ready for soda machines, change machines, or just keeping your bills neatly organized without the hassle of a big bulky folded wallet. I did take the chain off, but there was nothing wrong with it and it came with an extra clip connector, no complaints just unneeded. The small card section holds 3 plastic CC or ID cards while the middle most pocket is the same size and can hold 3-5 CC/ID cards or I use it for dinner punch cards/rewards cards. The wallet has open pockets for bills, I found that I use the front pocket for my bills and the back pocket for receipts. The zippered coin pocket is useful for that or just securing larger bills. I give this wallet a 10/10 as the leather is perfect. The snaps are super snug at first but loosen enough to securely snap without manhandling them. Keep in mind this is a longer wallet and will stick out the top of ordinary jeans back pockets. This is exactly what I was hoping it would be! A+++
