Good Product
This is a nice size cat waterer. Like the stainless steel bowl. Cats seem to like it. Plenty of water capacity for my 2 cats.

Better than most, but…
We’ve tried a few gravity water systems. This is better quality, easier to maneuver and assemble than most, less mess. Our issue is since it is not clear plastic so we kept missing it was out of water. Luckily we have multiple water stations. Also, don’t like that water reservoir is plastic. We’ve gone back to a regular water bowl and will use this when we travel.

Exactly as advertised
Plenty of water for our cat - peace of mind while we're out that she won't tip it over. Very stable, metal tray is easy to clean

Easy to clean
I like that it's smaller and I especially like that the stainless steel insert is easy to remove and clean. I thought it came with the filters but those have to be ordered separate. It has a cap on the top for no apparent reason. But overall it's sturdy and easy to clean.

Top heavy I guess?
Ok, so I have two of these, one of the small ones for my cats and one of the large ones for my dogs. I bought the cat one first and liked it so much that I bought the large one to replace my dogs' existing gravity water bowl. So for positives, I really like the removable metal bowl that makes for super easy cleaning. I also like that there is a spring loaded open/close valve on the water container so you don't spill water every where as you put it back on. But honestly, as much as I like it, there are several negatives that ultimately led me to knock two stars, one for the cat bowl and one for the dog bowl. For the smaller cat bowl, the problem is that it's too light and not wide enough. My one cat is obviously a jerk (because she is, after all, a cat) and she likes to knock the whole thing over, causing however much water is above the halfway mark to leak out and all over the floor. I solved this problem by putting the bowl on a leftover piece of flooring that we had, taking the metal bowl out, and running a screw down through the plastic bowl and into the piece of flooring. Now it's secured down and it's too wide for her to knock it over. So far anyway. For the dogs, the bowl is too shallow. We have two boxers, one at 70 pounds and one at 100 pounds, so they aren't small dogs. They spill water out of this thing CONSTANTLY with their drinking. I ended up getting a tray that's meant to go under a rabbits catch (that has 3 inch high walls) and set the water bowl down in that. They now fill the bottom of that thing and I have to dump it out periodically. Lastly, there are two problems for both. First the container is transparent but it's not that easy to see through, so all the animals tend to run out of water and I don't even notice it's getting low because unless it's in a really well lit area, it's hard to see the water level. Second, both the small and large container use the same opening size on the bottom with the same screw on lid. It's so small you can't get your arm in it to clean the inside of it. For the cat container that's not a huge deal because it's not too deep so you can still clean it. For the large bowl, I stick my hand in and i'm still at least a foot from being able to reach the top to clean it out. I end up just putting soap in it, putting the lid back on, and shaking it really hard and hoping that gets it cleaned. The opening should be bigger. So despite all my complaints, I'd still buy it again because of how easy it is to clean the metal bowl and the leak proof dispenser for when you're refilling it.

Easy to set up.
Works well, easy to fill and install into the mount. The wide makes it easier to clean and sanitize. The level lines are easy to read to let you know how fast the dogs are drinking water so you can be on top of never letting it run dry.

UPDATE!!!!!! 3.12.18
Took me way longer then it should have to find a gravity water dish with a metal base. WHY ARE THEY ALL PLASTIC???? No matter how many times you wash the plastic ones, you can never get them clean enough. Plus you cant really clean inside all the scratches caused by my cats sticking their paws in the water to drink. I was done and fed up with my plastic one. I was tired of the smell the bowl gave off even after being cleaned. My cats are not just my pets, they are family. IF YOU WOULDNT DRINK OUT OF THE BOWL, WHY LET YOUR FURBABIES DRINK FROM IT? Thank goodness, by some miracle, I found this gravity water dish. I didn't care about anything except for the fact that it had a metal base. I didn't read the reviews, didn't care about the price and bought it right off that bat. I received it yesterday and I couldn't be happier. The metal bowl slides out easily. I was able to clean every crack and crevice this bowl has with no problems. I fully love that if I want too I can buy and add a water filter to this water dish. Don't let the top fool you however. The small "lid" at the top is just for show. There is no opening at the top. It has a lock and unlock feature to secure the "lid" but there is no opening when you take off the "lid". This is now the exact water dish I have been looking EVERYWHERE for. My cats don't always have access to food. They get fed twice a day and are on a schedule. We only use the gravity food bowl when we leave town for a few days. I just bought a new one, so when the one I have goes bad, I will be buying the matching food bowl to this water dish. UPDATE: Now having this water dish for a little while I have come to find one little annoyance with it. If you don't have this water dish sitting on a perfectly even surface, it will leak all the water out of the bowl until it has flooded your bathroom, making all your floor mats sopping wet. I tested this by setting it on my bathroom counter for 15mins and not one drop was spilled. I set in back down on my, UNEVEN, bathroom floor and after 5mins it was sitting in a puddle. I had to deal with a flooded bathroom twice before I realized what the problem was and hopefully having it sit in my, carpeted, hallway will be a more even surface to keep it. Haven't had any problems since I moved it to the hallway. Fingers crossed!.... It refuses to stop leaking. I may have just gotten a bad one, who knows. But returning for a full refund.

Superior Hygiene - Stainless Steel Design is a Game Changer for Cats!
Material Quality: Unlike most dispensers that are made entirely of plastic, this one features metal components. Stainless steel is much more hygienic, non-porous, and prevents the bacterial slime that often builds up in plastic bowls. It’s also much more durable and easier to deep-clean. Health Benefits: If your cats are prone to skin sensitivities or feline acne, switching from plastic to this metal setup is a must. It keeps the water noticeably fresher and cooler for longer periods. Capacity : The size is ideal for a multi-cat household. It provides a steady gravity-fed supply so I don't have to worry about the bowls running dry while I'm at work. Maintenance: The unit is easy to disassemble. Being able to scrub the metal surface knowing it won't scratch like plastic gives me much more peace of mind regarding my pets' health. Final Verdict: 5 Stars. It’s a premium upgrade over standard plastic gravity feeders. If you care about hygiene and want a bowl that stays cleaner for longer, this is the one to get. My cats love it and I love the lower maintenance!

Excelente producto
Tengo 8 gatitos que lo usan diario, fácil de lavar y de volver a llenarte agua. mantiene el agua fresca. Relación calidad, precio excelente. Mas que la bandeja donde reposa el agua es acero inoxidable. Recomiendo este producto

The perfect practical water source for small animals. Easy to maintain!
I bought 3, one for each of my bunnies. I use them without the filters, but I change the water daily (twice in summer), and I clean them about weekly. Each bunny has their own water source, and it's really working great! I recommend and it would work great for cats, and small dogs too.

Good
Good size. Base is sturdy, easy to install and remove canister. Secure lid. Only complaint is that the bottle isn’t secured properly in bowl. Do not recommend if your pet is likely to try to push it over.
