Hey Guyzz.. Bought this Caddy for making some modification to my 5 year old laptop. I Installed WD SSD 240GB to the laptop's provided HDD space to install Operating system as the basic function will run on OS only and this only will help to run the laptop faster. For storage I used the old HDD came with laptop with this caddy in DVD drive space. Unable to used the DVD now a days DVD is hardly used for data transfer so No loss for me as the function will no longer available. same can also be used with SATA (DVD) to USB Converter cable. Now SSD + HDD running on same laptop with best performance like a new laptop with NO LAG. Very useful product. Need to install the OS to SSD to improve the performance and use HDD for storage. Before buying, just check the thickness of Caddy u need to buy as the caddy comes in two different sizes. You can check the DVD Drive thickness with your laptop model using GOOGLE search. Speed issues

I installed SSD in my dell 3576 laptop. It's been 3+ years, no issues. Worked perfectly.

PROS : 1) Yesterday i fit it in my laptop. It is working properlty. The size 9.5 m.m is correct and fit correctly. 2) The hole is available in appropriate place. So there is no confusion to use it. 3) Price is competitive and correct. CONS : 1) They sent BIG Screws in four numbers which was not fit in this 9.5 mm optical case. 2) Built quality is average 3) Additional Connectivity screw was also not supplied. (i.e) Connectivity with this optical case and Laptop. The correct requirement is Four Screw for outer fit and TWO screw for inner fit. The outer Four Screw is not compatible & not usable and the inner 2 screw was not supplied. But this case fit well and it is working well. Thanks !

Bought this on amazon few months back. As usual amazon delivered the product on time with no damage to the package or product at all. Happy with amazon delivery service. The product was carefully packed very tightly with the outer cover so that the product won't get damaged in transit. It's very easy to install in your laptop. Any beginner with least computer knowledge can install this. The package consists of the caddy drive and a small screwdriver (screws included) so you don't have to arrange for the appropriate sized screwdriver. Everything was in place in a matter of moments. It took me just 10 minutes to open my laptop and install this caddy drive. At this price range this is the best product you can get. Don't worry about the build quality, it's just perfect for the price range and you won't have to worry about product damage. Been using this for 3 months now. No damage, and works fine.

It didn't work at all. Dimensions were as per specs but it seems the cable/wire attached to it is faulty. I didn't even bother to return the product as it was the cheapest available among the compitetors. So in a way it was my mistake too to pick up the cheapest , cheap surely compromises quality. As the saying goes in Hindi/ Urdu..."MENGHA roáe EK baar, SASTA roáe BARBAR"
