Ideal Water Expansion for Backpacks
My first one I purchased over 5 years ago; it's still going. Just needed the ability to easily carry a water bottle on another backpack and I instantly knew which carrier I was going to use. My first one has been abused for over 5 years and is still working perfectly! Pros: -Good MOLLE sticks that actually stay connected. This holder has been bumped and pulled many times and have never had the straps release from themselves, I can't say the same for some of the other cheaper MOLLE straps I've had before. Also the MOLLE fits snugly and doesn't allow the bottle to swing side to side. -Large enough to easily fit a 32 oz Nalgene -Velcro and buckle securing methods make it easy to quickly shut the holder and then open again. However if you need a more secure holder then connecting the buckle ensures that it will not open. -More MOLLE straps on the holder, so if you want to add anything else or connect multiple holders together your imagination is your limit. Cons: -Price, it is a little steep, however the quality and construction style makes up for this in my opinion. It will last for years even with daily use. Overall, this is the water bottle holder I recommend whenever anyone asks what kind of bottle holder they should get for their backpack that originally didn't come with one or had one that broke off.

Eternal quality
Love this thing - I bought it forever ago and it is as good as the day I purchased it. It works fits a standard Nalgene, and also fits those aluminum camping mugs with collapsible handles, which I keep in there for bug out purposes.

Great as a side pouch for 5.11 Rush 12 backpack.
Was thinking between this and the Maxpedition bottle holder, I got this because of the lower price, and so far I have been very happy. It is a bottle carrier, but works great as a side pouch for my 5.11 Rush 12 daily backpack. However, the included attachment ties are buttoned, and I have found this pouch unbottoned a couple of times on one of the two ties, I think is better to get some Tac Ties, but time will tell.

Added one to each side of my Maxpedition Falcon II: tips
I chose this over the Maxpedition water bottle holder because I wanted something with a little less 'structure'...this is pliable, collapsable, and easier to secure straps around. It holds a whopping 32 ounce--yes, 32 ounce--Gatorade bottle whole. Yes, the chubby Gatorade bottles! With room to spare!! I can use it for my entire kitchen cook kit with imusa cup and alcohol stove and fuel. It is very secure on two firm (not limp) straps that are provided with the product, both with snaps. They go through my PALS/Molle straps on the bag well, and securely by weaving them in and out of the straps. So, unlike some other bottle holders, you need not buy Blackhawks or Maxpedition Tac Ties to go with this back--it already comes with the two firm straps that will clip onto your backpack's Molle and Pal system already. That's a nice cost savings. I love the clip on the top hood, but it also has a large velcro closure, right under the black plastic clip...so you really can use the velcro only for easy access. It's very secure. Couple points: it has molle straps on the outside of it, which is fine for placing other objects like a knife holster, flashlight holster, etc. BUT, it is less structured than a Maxpedition bottle holder, so you'd really need something in there (a water bottle, for example) to prevent it from getting tippy and floppy with the weight of the knife, if you get what I'm saying. I like the reduced structure of the holder, though in general, as it's great for form fitting many things, like a cup with a handle fits in there nicely (but likely wouldn;t fit in a rigid bottle holder). The only true negative that I see about this holder is the top flap leaves a little space along the top of the bottle holder itself--a tiny gap on each side even when closed--that might allow desert windstorm sand, rain, etc. into the holder. If one had small items in this bottle holder (e.g. free bullets, candy or such), and tipped the bag, they may come out the edge where the top meets the body. 5.11 really should cut the top of the holder on the sides more generously so they will overlap better with the flip top. Recommended. I bought one, then liked it so much, I bought another. As of this writing, the Maxpedition water bottle holder is literally 60% more expensive than the 5.11, so I doubt I would have bought two of those based on price alone.

the best add on molle water bottle holder
I use these with my maxpedition versipacks. Easy to put on and super sturdy. Here's why its better than other add-on MOLLE water bottle holders. 1. Comes with built in MOLLE "sticks". No need to buy others and no need to find sticks of the right length and tools to weave under straps. Very easy to install and remove if needed. 2. Quick release buckle and velcro closure. Others have zippers, and zippers are annoying for quick access to your water bottle. Drawstrings drop bottles when turned upside down. The buckle on this keeps it locked and opens quick. And velcro keeps the flap closed when not buckled. 3. More MOLLE straps for accessories. You can attach smaller MOLLE accessories to the outside of the case. Others are just smooth and don't give you this option.

Tervis Water bottle perfect fit
I have several Tervis water bottles, and I really like them. I also have a new backpack, a 5.11 Rush 24. The backpack does have a water bottle holder, but this one is perfect for me--no more reaching around to unzip my bag (A hassle) to get my water. The H2O carrier has a velcro and a snap enclosure, and it keeps the water in a convent place to access when the pack is on. It has holes on it in case you bottle leaks (not likely, but it is a nice touch!). The velcro can be used or not used because of the snap enclosure (just cover it up if you ned it for the office or at school). I have used this for several months now, and the bag is 100% what it needs to be--a fully functional, large capacity water bottle holder. FYI, it is the only one I could find that could hold the Tervis Water bottle and not have the bottle swinging wildly around, which eventually causes it to fall. It has not cone undone, the snaps don't unsnap, the extra molle steps on it make up for using the ones it requires to attach to the pack.

Itโs a water bottle holder. Easlily mounted on my Rush24 pack. Holds a Nalgene comfortably.

Super strong and easily fitted using the SlickStick system. Feel slightly thinner material than my other, older, sand coloured pouch, but thats not a bad thing. Shall probably outlive me! Large enough to fit a 500ml flask and a Sigg insulated sleeve and a couple of choccie bars or a TravelTap water filter. Has a drain hole in bottom. I don't bother with the clip unless the terrain is particularly rough. I have one pouch attached to the belt straps on my pack for quick access and means there's no need to remove pack for the essentials. Typical superb 5.11 quality, always perfect, never a loose thread.

really good made, durable bottle carrier, the quality you'd expect from 5.11, the MOLLE on the back gives you enough possibilities to attach....
