Badly written and not a patch on the first book.
The first book was witty, insightful and truthful. This is a poor imitation. The writing is very amateur and you feel like you are reading the same words over and over again - okay we get it, people who work at talksport like a drink, you don't have to mention it three hundred times. The period it covers contains some controversial moments yet they are all glazed over with a positive spin. This book does not feel like the person writing it was connected to the station in the same way that the first one was. Whereas the original book was a warts and all, this is a sanitised suck up which is neither funny nor revealing and some of the lengthy anecdotes are not funny and are about nobody we have heard of, they also mostly consist of problems getting to somwehere which after the first tale quickly wears very thin. I would definitely give it a miss and stick to the first ten years.

Awful. Don’t bother
The first book was absolutely outstanding, this one feels big, physically again compared to the last one. Hard going and that’s before you even get into the content.Love talksport and all the culture with it, but this is dull. A shame really given how great the first book was.

Turgid.
You feel like you are always waiting for the book to warm up and get going. Sadly never really happens. Discusses some pretty heavy issues then just moves on like nothing happened. Bit like an afternoon with Hawksby and Jacobs then! Jacobs is a food snob by the way, it says so in the book about a dozen times, ditto repeated anecdotes about the other presenters. Disappointed. Laughed more in half an hour of stories from Ray Parlour on the morning show than this tomb.

Don't bother
At some point talksport will give up rehashing all the old stories they think make them a rock n roll outsider in an industry full of corporates. It meant something once - see the 10 year book - but this is is just an awful repackaging, hopelessly updated by somebody who can't write for an audience of people who already know all the stories. Bad idea, woefully executed. Even the design screams 'our audience are mugs, just stick the logo on it and get it out there'. Shockingly bad

Good Read for Long Term Talk Sport Fans
Read it myself and because I've not been listening to the radio for an awfully long time I didn't get the best insight into it, my younger brother said the same. However my dad read it and really enjoyed the read. Good gift if you know the person wants it, good read if you know a lot about talk sport already. Definitely worth the price tag.
