Octinoxate is the chemical besides the zinc oxide. I don't know if they changed the formula because I see it nowhere on this page, but I wouldn't buy it again because of it. I purchased on May 28, 2019.

I have chronic chapped lips unless I constantly apply balm. My only answer to your question is my Elta is my constant companion. I not only recommend the lip balm but, also, their sunscreens.

If I was applying this blind, I would say it’s a tube of Blistex (red and white tube). Has a peppermint taste and comes out white. Been getting some bad lip sunburns and asked the dermatologist what she recommended and this was it. No burns yet but small tube for the $$. 5 stars because it obviously works well.
