Good hand workout
Works well easy to use

Working great.
Love it. Broke arm just below wrist. 10 weeks in splint. Cast and brace. Lost strength and mobility. This is helping.

Gold standard of ball-spinning extraordinaries.
I read a review on a cheaper gyro ball alternative that said to go with this one instead. I bought both of them to compare, and found that this one is smoother, quieter, and a bit heavier than the cheaper option. This definitely feels better to use, with the primary difference being that the ball sits tighter in the pocket and doesn't clang around as much. For me, the difference is worth it.

Interesting and fun novelty exerciser
This is kind of a weird piece of exercising equipment, but I've found it useful and fun. I got it to help avoid additional tendonitis in my elbow due to archery. It seems to have done that, although giving the affected elbow some rest first also helped. No substitute for that. I have had no problems since I started using this regularly, however. I'm not convinced of its central role in that, but I do seem to have stronger support muscles all the way up to the shoulders as a result of using it. And because it's fun to use, I'll keep using it. I don't recommend using it if you are already having some pain. Rest the affected part and then start using this as a preventive measure, and keep using it. I usually do a minute in each hand, two times through, per day.At first it was hard to get going, but now that I've got the hang of it, it's pretty easy to get it spun up. I do better with my right hand- my left hand isn't as coordinated and I can't do the finely tuned rotation as well. However, I actually spin it faster with my left hand once I get it going, though I can't keep it going as long. The thumb wind-up start on this model is worth paying extra for. I wouldn't want to have to use a string to start it each time. It takes a while to spin down, so you can switch hands and get it spun up to speed again without having to restart it. The rubber band around the middle gets a bit out of position sometimes, so I flipped it upside down and leave a little gap so it rests on a ridge and it stays in place. Makes kind of a neat whirring sound when it's spinning fast. I wouldn't waste money on an RPM indicator- I'm not sure why you'd care.***April 2019 update: The ball stopped getting into high gear, so I took it apart and cleaned it (Three tiny screws; do NOT lube it with anything!). It worked for another month but now I can't get it to really spin up, so I'm ordering another one. 4.5 years isn't a bad product lifetime for something like this these days. By the way, it still spins, but doesn't go into that whirring, high resistance mode where it starts sounding like a prop engine plane when you get the gyro really going, and eventually it just slows and stops. Some people that complain it doesn't work may not be getting it to that resistance point- takes some practice- or they may have gotten a defective unit. You will definitely hear and feel the difference from the spinning when you first start it to getting it into that resistance mode.

Better user guide needed.
Returned it. Tried repeatedly to get the spinner to work but failed. I'm only willing to go so far to "master" a piece of exercise gear. Good luck to those who solved the technique.

Great product
Works great and is really great for rehabbing a sprained wrist and strengthening so it doesn’t happen again

Helps Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
I have been dealing with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome for many years. I am primarily bothered at night, being awakened by pain and numbness. Wearing a brace to bed addresses the problem but is just trading one discomfort for another. I have been using this gizmo for a few weeks now and have noticed that I am not being awakened as often at night. It took some practice to get the hang of it and I still have trouble getting it started reliably with my non-dominant hand, but, once mastered is easy to use.Update: I have now been using this spinner twice a day for over a year. Although I still occasionally notice a bit of numbness in my hands when I get up in the morning, the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome improvement has been remarkable. I no longer need to ever wear braces to bed and am seldom awakened by pain and numbness. I can now "start" the ball reliably every single time with each of my hands. I don't have any numbers to prove that my grip strength has improved since using this spinner, but, I seem to be dropping things less often.Update 2: It has been almost exactly three years since I began using this spinner twice a day. Although I still have some Carpal Tunnel Syndrome issues, they continue to be trivial. Alas, this spinner appears to have lived its life. The rubber ring around the spinner that makes it easy to grip was beginning to stretch and slide about. I was also having trouble starting the spinner. Eventually I heard something crack when trying to wind the spinner up. After that, the thing was very much broken. After three years of daily use, it was time for a new spinner. My new spinner is just as awesome as my original. One improvement that has been made is that the arrows indicating which direction to rotate the ball in order to wind the spinner up are MUCH easier to see on the new spinner. A great product made even better with just one tiny change.

Good price, good quality, all you need!
I have had numerous power balls in the past, and I think this one is my favorite. This ball has an auto start feature, which is convenient, but it lacks the colored led lights and and the electronics display at the top. As far as I’m concerned, the electronics are not necessary or desired because the addition of the electronic disc at the top of the ball hurts the palm of your hand and your hand covers the display most of the time. The colored lights are fun at first, but not necessary to the task of building hand and forearm strength. This ball runs quiet with no real vibration and I can use it while watching TV with my wife without her giving me “The Eye” if you know what I mean! If you are new to having a powerball or an experienced powerball user this is a good choice and is all you will ever need.

Wrist Health
A superb product for strengthening the arm and wrist. Just a few minutes and your done. Also helps with carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow. I find it useful for people suffering from Parkinson’s as it creates a counter nutation providing some relief from involuntary movements.
