Great Bag for Easy Travel
I needed something for quick weekend trips -I have just received this and my next trip isn't for a month, so I`m unable to judge the durability or sturdiness until I use it. In any event, I am looking forward to utilizing all the benefits this bag offers. However, after using other backpacks, my major concern was that there was never enough room, nor big enough compartments to stay organized. This backpack has a bonus of being waterproof, and the outer material appears quite durable, at least for my use. I like the option of having the 2 well padded handles (side and top) - so it can be carried as a small suitcase as well. Being a small person, I was concerned about the straps and weight distribution, however, the straps, easily adjustable, are nicely padded and fit well on my shoulders; and the back of this pack is also well padded and the mesh should help prevent heat build up. I love the secure zippered area on the back, I'm always concerned about the security of my passport and private/ personal items - and this is the perfect size and location to keep such items safe. After trialing with carrying my laptop and heavy items, I must say that I found it quite comfortable to wear, and nothing appeared to shift. However, if I was any shorter (below 5'5") this may have been a butt smacker. Computers are easily secured in the laptop area and straps hold everything else in place very well. If you have an I PAD or Kindle, there is an also a secure padded area for this, as well; although I will likely find something else to put in that location. On a personal note - I would like to see the the power cable in the same area as the laptop, and a pocket to place a charger would also be helpful. The area for basic clothing/essentials is larger then average, with tie down straps available to help compress and hold items in place, which is similar to a regular suitcase. It also contains a good size zippered mesh area, that will hold many hygeine items and keep them secure. The shoe bag is huge! A zipper at the bottom of the pack leads to this separate area and with being a size 6, I may be able to put 2-3 pairs in there - but what I do like, is that I can also put my small boots in there. The front has 2 zipper areas for incidentals, although there is considerable room, I`m slightly concerned about how to secure them, as they can be easily accessed. I would prefer an additional hook or clasp closure. Only one side has a expandable, zippered water bottle area, but It is limited space, and I would recommend checking your water bottles for fit in advance. The outer compression straps are a great idea, as they take the pressure off the zippers and help to keep everything secure and in place. I must agree, that an area for pens and small office type items would be of value to make this a more versatile back pack for optional work use. Over-all; I`m looking forward to putting this backpack to use and enjoying the spaciousness...

Surpassed my expectations!
Alright. Looking for arguably the best bag to travel on with/use as a carry for international flights? IMHO, you just found it. A couple pictures are a little dark, my apology for that. I travel frequently with a lap child, and have tried a number of systems. The strong zippers, durable material, and comfortable fit of this bag impressed me as I unpacked it. I thought about doing the review then, but I did not. Instead, I used it to travel several times, internationally. Little features kept happily surprising me: large wet pocket, battery pack access port, lumbar pocket, separate shoe. No picture of this little feature but there is a small zippered pocket inside the main compartment perfect for that additional cash stash, extra car key set or jewelry. (I did not even notice it until my second time using it!) Picture of features run-down: >pic 1 great looking, simple design doesn't attract unwanted attention as I travel internationally >pic 2, 3 the dimensions are generous for outside pockets >pic 4, 5 show the clamshell design. Exactly what i was looking for = padded pockets for computers/comfort, separate shoe compartment (entry zipper on bottom of bag) >pic 6 straps are well padded, and tuck away for use as a carry bag (see pic 10) in this pic you can see the lumbar zip pocket...exactly what I wanted to tuck away my passports and secondary ID #not a pocket to pick. Also notice the sternum strap which is vertically adjustable #keep it tight And, last there is a elastic strap to slide over your luggage handle. >pic 7 depth of the lumbar pocket is just right...I put 2 passports, a cash envelope, and boarding passes for my connecting flights. >pic 8 waterproof pocket...SO HANDY for swimwear, accidental spills, baby clothes that need to be washed >pic 9 battery pack (not included) access port for easy charging ( I found this VERY handy) >pic10 easy to convert to a hand carry. notice the compression straps which help reduce the size to fit, believe it or not, under the seat in front of me. Yes, it was tight but for a short flight or when you are stuck against the window...it works. >pic 11 compression straps help secure water bottle ( I like to carry one that has a filter and its a little large for this pocket...almost a demerit, but it works very well for this size without stressing the seams and it is held tightly with the c-strap. The bottle will be on the bottom in hand carry mode, so I would carry the bottle to allow the bag to sit flat. >pic 11 double padded pockets against my back were comfortable as i walked long distances.

Good for the price. But not perfect.
Good: - The laptop compartment opens and lays flat for easy passing through airport security. - Ventilated shoe compartment. - Plenty of pockets and compartments. - The power bank cable is handy. - Can be worn as a backpack for convenience and comfort. But when you need to look more formal, you can tuck away the back straps and carry it like a briefcase. Bad: - Doesn't look as classy in person as in the pictures. The material isn't smooth looking. It looks like cheap woven nylon - which is fine considering the price. It's disappointing only because the pictures are misleading. - Zippers, seams and inner lining look and feel cheap. I expect them to start breaking down soon but I'd be happy to be proven wrong. - The white stitched AMBOR logo is the ugliest thing about this bag. I'd prefer if it were more subtle/ muted or subdued to match the rest of the bag's appearance. - It lacks internal organising pockets. I wish it had loops and mini inner pockets for pens, keys, calculators etc. Instead it just has big compartments for you to chuck everything in and let it all shake around. Hell! It doesn't even have any appropriate pocket to store your powerbank once you have it connected. - Speaking of powerbank, the plastic USB port shroud on the outside of the bag has it's top edge unsecured. It seems to just be glued on and the top edge of the shroud appears to have started peeling off even before I unboxed the bag. Conclusion: This is the best work/travel/ study/ gym backpack you can get for this price. Want a single inexpensive bag able to do it all? This is it. Apart from the white stitched logo, it looks professional enough. I might just use a black permanent marker to tone down the logo on mine.

Great for travel purposes but also need to store a laptop and a few documents
I am constantly going on 1-4 day trips just about every week and got tired of toting so many bags around just to carry clothes, meal preps, and books separately. So I was in search of a large enough bag that could hold 1-2 outfits, my laptop and work documents, but also have a large enough space to fit 1-2 meal prep containers, all in the same bag. I especially like that the front compartment is lined with some type of moisture resistant material that is easily wiped with a damp cloth. This is where I store my body towel after showering at the gym, or even my meal preps in case they spill. I use this bag for multi-purposes but when I have used it strictly for traveling I was able to fit at least 4 outfits and a pair shoes. I love the sleek design. It looks professional enough for a lawyer or board member to take to court or business meeting, yet still looks good in any other setting. My only issues I had was that the first one I got had many malfunctioning zippers, but I reached out and the vendor sent me a new one, no questions asked. The new one has been working great. The zipper tracks are very heavy duty. I sometimes have to sit on my backpack just to zip it up but have never had a case where it burst open. I also wish there were more compartments to separate my filing folders, planner, and journals. Lastly I am a die hard meal-preper, so I carry a few meals on me. Unfortunately the moisture resistant front compartment is very narrow (maybe a few inches), however it runs the entire length of the book bag. So luckily I have air sealed food containers since I cant sit them upright in this compartment. The material of the straps and the outer shell is extremely durable. Almost looks like the sturdiness of a firehouse if you've ever seen one. I absolutely love this backpack. To me this bag is for someone that will be using it more for travel purposes but also needs to store a laptop and a few documents, and not an everyday book bag solely for work or school. Simply because the middle compartment is just too big and your papers would probably get shuffled like a deck of cards.

Every detail thought of; super sturdy too.
I LOVE this backpack! I run a travel photography page and prefer to travel carry on only, so I was looking for a bag that I could use to organize all my stuff and keep my devices safe. I’m impressed with how sturdy this bag is at this price point! It’s like they thought of every detail. The zippers are strong, the seams are well stitched. I love this bag so much I’m now using it several times a week. I homeschool my children while running my own business, and this allows me to carry my laptop, tablet and lunch with me so I can work while they’re in their activities. Everything has a place, whether it’s the laptop and tablet sleeves, or the individual pockets for extra camera batteries, highlighters, the wet/dry pocket for lunches, the pocket for exercise shoes, and so on! It even has compression straps and buckles to help distribute the weight better. It slides right over the handle on my luggage, And it zips open to lay flat through security, making carry on travel a breeze. I can’t recommend this enough! Now if they’d make this in other colors...I’ll buy them for my teens when they travel!

Fantastic travel backpack
If you're looking for a backpack with large capacity, this is a great option! I've purchased a couple of different 17" flight approved backpacks in the past for airline travel. This one is definitely the most spacious and does exactly what I expected it to do. I just got back from lugging this thing over three countries for three weeks and I have to say...over the ten flights, three ferry trips, it held up really well. For the price, the fabric provided is not wrinkly, it's pretty uniform throughout the pack. Has sturdy handles so can carry as a backpack, from the top, or side like a suitcase. And the shoulder straps could slide into a hidden pocket, even at 35lbs carried easily on my back, there still has no signs of any wearing or tearing. I have to say that it has two compartments that I like very much. Because I travel a lot, and i am not used to using the hotel's toiletries, so I have to prepare a washing bag to put my towel, toothbrush and so on. It seems that this package has given me a lot of help. I can store my toiletries in a wet and dry separation pocket. And there also has a shoe pocket at bottom, so that I can always prepare a pair of shoes for change. And unlike my previous flight approved backpack, this backpack has the TSA feature that greatly shortens the time I pass the airport security check and its got a hidden pocket on the back, perfect for your passport and boarding pass. A reflective strip is placed in front of the backpack, which will play a role in walking at night. Got heavy though and would be nice if weight more balanced or maybe someway to be able to carry up to 8kg with more ease so doesn't get heavy on shoulders. But does have extra padding on back but maybe need more for shoulders. Other than that great product and highly recommend this product for the traveller.

An incredible multi-purpose bag
The superb build quality on the bag was one of the first things I noticed when I unpacked it. There is no shortage of pockets for all of the various storage needs. There is a two way tie for best feature of the bag in my opinion: the cooler lined pouch, perfect for packing food/beverages and keeping them cool and the bottom access pocket for storing shoes. This bag is perfect for an out of town business traveler, college student or construction worker, along with a long list of professionals. My main purpose for purchasing this bag was getting a laptop case for my new 17" Lenovo Y700 laptop. While it technically fits in the sleeve, it is such a tight fit that I am worried that it doesn't provide enough side protection, which is where the laptop in question is at its structurally weakest. If you have a smaller version, then this bag is a no-brainer option, especially if you want something that fills more than just a laptop bag role. Its very sleek and subtle in design while drawing a certain discerning admiration from onlookers. The price point for what it offers makes it an incredible value. Just wish there was a slightly larger version for more protection for my particular laptop.

Good for a $45 backpack, but not recommended for the serious traveler
This backpack is ok for the price, but I would not recommend it for heavy usage. First issue: it arrived with a broken zipper. These things happen; Amazon is processing the return, no problems there. Second issue: the material just feels light, especially around the zippers. I would not want to be traveling across the country with this as my only luggage because I just don't think it would last. It's ok for a carry-on bag since you know to be gentle with it, but I would be very nervous checking it. But if your travel style involves your luggage spending most of the trip in a hotel and you're not carrying it everywhere you go, I think this would be a great bag.

Product is good
The bag was shipped fast, arrived in 2 days! The photo display the product as a “hard shell”. I was mistaken to think the bag has a “firm” shaped, but the bag is actually soft and not firm. I think the photo was slightly misleading, or I mislead myself to believe the bag has a hard shell. I wanted a bag with some “hard” material for extra protection. The bag is big, for most laptop bag. The usb is a good addition. If the bag was a “hard shell, or firm” that’s what I was looking for, but can deal with it. It’s good value overall

An impressive travelling bag
I bought this backpack because my laptop wouldn't fit in the one I had been using for quite some time. It had just what I needed and was convenient for the short trips I made around the area. This new one has been designed for the traveler, with a lot of thought put into it! It has way more compartments than I am used to, but saying that, I have equipment which can make use of them. The one electrical part, being a USB connection, is handy if I plug a charger into the inside portion for charging my phone. It'a a device I seldom use, but one which can be very useful if you're away from home. The compartments are so numerous that I'm not going to elaborate on them except to say the information provided on the page where you purchase this item is very extensive. The design of using this as a backpack is very comfortable! The padded nylon back lets your skin breathe while protecting the contents at the same time. I've never had one where you had the option of packing away the straps, but it is a nice feature if you plan to carry it on the side like a piece of luggage. Add in the lower cost I paid for this and you have an excellent deal. I can happily say that I am pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone in need of baggage which can safely store a 17.3 inch laptop as well as clothing and articles used when away from home.

Great value
Very sturdy and well made, it is actually deceiving how much room it has. May need to buy another as my son has taken it over for his gaming gear.
