As people age in late 80s gums start to recede and teeth get further exposed and trapped food can cause cavities much easier. This helps remove items at the root of the teeth, I would not recommend if you have sensitive teeth.

The first time I bought these over a year ago, I was happy with their performance. I had been purchasing similar in small plastic boxes which I keep in my back pocket. The boxes were typically sold in a 2-pack at Walgreens (200 total) for what I paid for this box of 1100. I simply reload one of the small boxes with these, and I'm good to go. Compared to other similar offerings, for me, these are not too stiff and just the right size.
